"We came here directly from Athens Airport to recuperate from the day long trip from home. What a great, quiet way to be introduced to Greece!!! Located on the level of the port so no trouble dragging bags here. Everything beyond this point is up hill! Perfect, expansive views of the village and sea from the room and hotel roof. Welcoming and helpful hosts."

"The hotel was located only 2 mints away from the harbour and so convenient. The staff there were so kind & friendly & efficient. They kindly rended me a beach towel to use at the beach. My bed room was so classic with antique furniture, the bed was very comfortable with crisp white bed linens…. (I had best sleep ever there!) The breakfast room was next to their court yard where was a touch of real sense of tranquillity. The coffee was served in silver pot with white cotton napkin - I felt so calm & gentle there. Really really enjoyed the stay x"

"We had spent over a week in Athens and the Greek islands and this was the last night of our stay. We did not realize when trying to get a taxi that the hotel was on an island and not the main land, I guess that is partially our fault. When we got there they helped us check in and showed us our room. We had a few questions that were unable to be answered due to the staff not speaking English. It took forever for us to understand how to turn the hot tub on as it was turned off completely. It was kind of warm when we got there but not warm enough to jump in. The air conditioning was broken and we came to the conclusion that they would fix it tomorrow, after we checked out. It was extremely warm in the room and no way to cool it down. We were unable to open the windows due to the mosquitoes getting in. We figured we would pay for a taxi to and from the hotel as we had on our trip. We didn’t realize the taxi there would be $70 from the port and another $120 to the airport the next day. The breakfast in the morning was fine. Overall I would not recommend unless you are planning to spend multiple days there and specifically want to go to this island."

"Stunning, absolutely stunning. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, workers always happy to help. Loved Flavio, really helpful and nice, especially with my children. Amazing food, included breakfast had a diverse amount of options, really good. Overall great experience, would definitely recommend!!!"

Hydra Hotel

"The hotel was too expensive for location. They called the day before to arrange luggage transfer by donkey costing us 20E. We were told there were 100 steps up to hotel. The donkey carried our luggage which was best 20E spent. We walked or it would be 40E…but any time during visit that you wanted to go to room, you climbed 100 steps and that did not count the walkways that had steps but were 3’ apart so a bit more gradual but still uphill. Our room and bathroom were nice and breakfast made to order was delicious but hotel should not have been this expensive for inconvenience of location."

"The hotel is in a stunning location with lovely views and staff helpful. The rooms are tired decoration and bathrooms need renovating. Mine had a constant leak from the shower and the sink didn’t drain. The staff couldn’t do anything. The location is near the Marina which is on the other side of Aegina town. The Marina area is run down with limited good places to eat. Felt touristy. "
