"By far the cleanest place my family (2 kids) and I have stayed at- overall property, common areas, and room. They even sanitize the room keys and tv remotes, placing them in plastic “sanitized for your convenience” bags. The property has a lot of detailed character. The breakfast selection is light but perfect, including the specialty coffee, and the patio area is welcoming. Cozy and safe for cars. We left very impressed. This is truly a hidden gem. Truly."

"Room both comfortable and attractively decorated. Private patio and public patio outside our door very attractive, quiet, relaxing. Breakfast room cozy, food exactly what we liked: breads, fresh fruit, hot egg dish, staff friendly and accommodating. Location quiet, comfortably short walk to Plaza and city center. All in all, a lovely experience away from crowds, but close to plenty of Santa Fe action."

"The staff were phenomenal. The room was very clean but would love to see a new carpet and a mini fridge. Also are safe in our room was not working. But overall it was a great experience. The breakfast was substantial and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"We stayed there May 14-17, 2026. It was an impromptu stay and we were so lucky to have the Colorado Room……totally delightful, beautifully decorated, super-comfy twin beds (pushed together), but the biggest plus was the covered corner patio surrounded by lush gardens. Four course breakfasts in the garden area were charming and delicious. This is a “must-stay” inn to go to and enjoy."

"We liked the hotel and it's charm. However, our room was crawling with ants. There were ants on the towels, the bathtub, and they found their way into our toiletries overnight. We should have known something was up when we spotted an ant trap around the sink. We brought this to the attention of the staff first thing in the morning (no one is available at night) and we were greeted with a shrug. Expedia tried, but could not resolve the issue. The room was clean and the breakfast was good....

"I booked 4 nights at the Vanessie because it was located close to the downtown area of Santa Fe and the Railroad District. Also, I was looking for local charm, and thought the wood-beamed ceiling was cool. I got there after 9:00 PM only to find out that they do not staff the Inn after 8:00 PM. I called the emergency number posted by the front door and Jay walked me through were to find my key codes (there are no keys, just coded locks) and got me into Unit 1. I immediately found small ants...
