Excellent hotel. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. It was about a 20 minute walk to Fira, which was great. They used an outside service for breakfast delivery, and that was also very good. I would enthusiasticly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay on Santorini.

We had a wonderful stay at Pension George. Karterados is a perfect base for exploring the island with flat fee bus services just a few minutes walk away. The hotel is quiet, spotlessly clean and Eirini was super helpful and informative, at any time of the day….she works so hard! Would thoroughly recommend.

The place is great and the room was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the price was excellent. The only downside is the location—it's a bit far from Fira, the main area with the scenic views and food options.

Awesome hotel

Stayed 3 days on vacation. The hotel staff is amazingly friendly and helps with all your needs. They go above and beyond and we were totally impressed with the hospitality! Good location if you don’t mind a 10 minute walk to Fira. Great rooms with kitchenettes and very comfortable! Beautiful pool and overall can’t beat it for the price!!!

Our stay at pension George was nothing but perfect. From the beginning to the end, hospitality was amazing when it came to looking after our comfort, health, and well-being. Book here! It’s phenomenal!

This establishment has by far been the best place I have visited not only on this trip but in general. The staff were amazing! So kind and helpful. The rooms were gorgeous and affordable. The pool was lovely and the location was only a 20 minute walk from Fira. We only stayed a night but they were so lovely we wished we could stay longer.

Pension George is a real gem! The stand out for us would have to be the amazing staff - they went avice and beyond the call of duty from the moment we walked through the gates…... They really made you feel that you were a part of their extended family. Rooms / facilities were great - super clean! (Shout out to the cleaning staff!) Highly recommend you consider staying there. We hope to return. :)

Beautiful, clean and comfortable base.

From pick up at the airport to arriving at reception with a simple quick check in. The small team are always smiling, happy and helpful too. Location wise, it’s a 5 min walk from the Karterados bus stop to take you most places on the island. Only a 20’ish min walk from Fira. Which is perfect if you don’t want to be in the madness of a town like Fira or Oia. No catering but quite a few local restaurants and an amazing 24hr bakery nearby too. We combined an active trip with lots of sightseeing but also chilled out around that wonderful pool. I’d recommend this property to my friends and family.

Loved the days we spent at Pension George. The staff makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive till the moment you leave. Sweetest people, loveliest pool and courtyard with trees and flowers. Smelled heavenly from flowers. Elizabeth, Irene, Dimitri, Helen and Rose feel like family. Their assistance in helping us check in, order food from a local restaurant (Tobasco-yummy!!), directions and suggestions about where to go, how to get there and what to see we’re invaluable. Our room was clean, comfortable and the AC worked perfectly. The bathroom shower was small but not a deal breaker. Nothing but raves about the wonderful staff. We had a car and we’re warned that parking was scarce. Never had a problem finding a great spot until the last evening when we were in Oia celebrating our daughter’s wedding. We had to park down the street but even that was no further than some big hotel parking lots. Highly recommend Pension George in every possible area. We miss our friends there and wish the whole family and staff our very best. 10 out of 10 stars!!!

Lovely owners Vivi and Demitris have assembled a top team with service and kindness firmly at the forefront of all they do. From the friendly Spiros Airport meet and greeter to the gent personified Paris, the most adorable driver and then to Elizabeth and Irene (2 superstar girls that are the face of Pension George) on Reception and not forgetting the trio of excellence in the form of the 3 cleaners that work tirelessly to keep the place immaculate. The reception doubles up as a bar and you can help yourself to super chilled drinks that are really sensibly priced. The pool has a perfect ambience and has the most comfortable sun loungers on the planet! Elizabeth and Irene are an absolute credit to PG. They combine toil and efficiency with fun and kindness and the net result is the perfect holiday. Before I left on hols, I found the hotel mentioned in “The rough guide to the Greek Islands” from 2002 which cited Pension George as being “welcoming”. Well, I am pleased to report that in over 20 years nothing has changed. It’s still the most welcoming place in all of Santorini!

We cannot recommend this property more highly! Great location, incredibly helpful and friendly staff, easy to get around the island (especially with the help of the staff to rent a scooter), lovely room, delicious food, and fun pool. We had a great experience and hope to be back one day.

The hostess of the hotel was excellent. The front desk was well prepared for us and had sight seeing recommendation and how to get there by hotel shuttle services and bus routes on a memo for us. Went over everything with us so we didn't need to ask for futher assistance. Beautiful hotel and the people running it. Also had many shops near by and restaurants as well.

Great stay at Pension George

Lovely family run pension in small village of Karterados. A quiet spot within 15 minutes walk of the busier resort of Fira. The property is clean and well looked after. The owners and staff are so kind and thoughtful and we had a very pleasant stay there. If you need anything then you only have to ask and it’s service with a smile. Would recommend to family and friends.

We only stayed there for one night. Very friendly and helpful staff. The girl in the reception showed us around the place, and informed us about good local food and so forth. Clean room. Nice little pool. Recomended if you're in the area.
