"Sometimes the music is too loud 😉 by the pool which slightly spoils the peace - I wonder if there can be an hour a day with peaceful, quieter music. My only serious complaint is the huge amounts of air freshener that seems to be pumped out in many areas. Is that necessary by the sea? Fresh air smells are better. "

"Amazing hotel. Great staff and amazingfood. I loved my stat..never seen such great hotel staff. Nice location 10 minutes to the beach. Not so great for people with limited mobility as they will need to catch a taxi back from the beach for €4 as the hotel is uphill . Would definitely go back. Well done to the management."

"This is a noisy area, including aqua aerobics around the pool every day and music in the front and back of the hotel. So if you want to be in that sort of area, it's great. Room was soundproof but there was no air conditioning. We were led to believe access to the spa was included but it was an extra 17 euros per entry. Hotel was clean, breakfast was good and beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was great and generally we had a good time. "

"Great location on the beach and easy access to everything you need . Everywhere was very clean. Spacious room but dated decor. We also overlooked the building work in the neighbouring hotel and patio doors not particularly sound proof. Did have a sea view from balcony which was great. Lots of wardrobe and draws plus free safe and aircon. Bathroom more modern. Pool area is spacious and not issue getting beds. Buffet breakfast had lots of choices to accommodate all. "Had a lovely mini break in the Tivoli hotel in April. It is a beautiful hotel in an ideal location. Gorgeous restaurants are a short walking distance away along the coast on either side. The hotel has a very chilled atmosphere with very friendly staff. Played some golf while there which the staff helped organise. Lovely breakfast in the morning and the Beach Club and Guilty restaurant great options. Plenty of room around the pool. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend."

"This is a fantastic hotel. All the staff were professional and kind and went above and beyond. The food was excellent in all the restaurants and we enjoyed evening drinks in the lovely bar. "5 star but still very family friendly and accommodating. The staff were lovely, especially in kids clubs. Great facilities and high quality activities for kids . They won't want to leave the complex. We had a junior suite with lovely sea view and it was large and luxurious with a very much seperate but connected sleeping area for 2 children. "We treated ourselves to a night here while visiting my mum who lives more inland. I remembered how kind and friendly the staff were the previous year when we had a day pass, and they were kind again this year. Our standard room was gorgeous with a huge balcony that the older kids loved. Beautiful grounds, but only one warmer pool..nice chilled out vibe. Felt classy and no queuing for anything, food and drinks of good standard."

"We are a couple both aged 23 - absolutely loved Colon Guanahani. The hotel is for the relaxers, we were one of few younger couples mostly older ladies and gents. Beautiful, beautiful hotel unique in its modern but homely natural style. Area was beautiful so much nicer than places we walked to, we were so happy we chose this hotel over others we seen that we had considered when booking. "Only marked down on condition due to the property closing mid jan 2023 for 9 month refurb. Definitely looked tired and in need of upgrade. But this didn't detract from our enjoyable stay in clean comfortable freindly hotel in perfect location"

"We recently stayed 3 weeks at El Marques Palace in a 1 bedroom sea view unit. Everything was great and the view from our balcony was spectacular. Front desk staff were always helpful and even gave us more clothes hangers when we asked. While the terrain is hilly, there are many restaurants and bars within walking distance and a grocery store across the street. The pool bar also had excellent food and great service. Would highly recommend."
