"Exceptional Staff and Service in Santiago I recently stayed at Hodelpa Gran Almirante Hotel & Casino in Santiago, and I cannot speak highly enough about the staff. From check-in to check-out, every team member was respectful, gracious, polite, and genuinely inviting. It's rare to find such consistently excellent service, and it made my stay truly memorable. If you're looking for a good place to stay while in Santiago, Dominican Republic, I would absolutely recommend this hotel. "This is a very beautiful, unique property with a river running right through the middle of it. There is a bridge to cross over, various areas to explore, and several swimming pools. The included breakfast is excellent—you can choose off a menu of various hot meals like eggs, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, fruit, and traditional Dominican meals. The rooms are very basic but have fans and a/c; however it got cool enough at night that we didn’t use those. WiFi was so weak in our room we really couldn’t use it, but the signal at the pool and restaurant was strong. We had fun playing pool and ping pong. It was slow season so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Rates were very reasonable, and although the place was a bit rundown, it was clean, and we’d definitely stay here again. "
