"I really liked that there was everything you could need to be comfortable. You can tell there is someone considerate behind the administration. There was abundant drinking water, teas and coffee, water boiler, cups, etc in the common area. "It is close to Piazza Caveoso where you don’t have to drag luggage all over the city. If you bring a car and park it in one of the Parcheggios, typically they provide transportation to the hotel for a fee. The hotel is cozy, great ambiance and great breakfast!!! Has a great location to many places in the city."

"Our room was tagged as "separate" on the Locanda San Martino website but it doesn't explain how "separate"! To get to breakfast, we had to climb 2 stories of stone steps, walk 5 minutes to the main entrance, and walk down 2 flights. Returning meant repeating in reverse. Anyone reserving a room marked "separate" should know what they are getting into."

"This is a beautiful old villa set in acres of olive trees. One couldn't ask for a more tranquil setting. The hotel is brand new and is showing signs of some work to be done. The roads are pretty rough and could use some better maintenance. This is important expecially at night when driving in and out can be a bit sketchy. We stayed in the Trulla house which is a charming traditional house away a bit from the main property. Watch your head on the low stone doorways! Overall, in a year or so, once they work out the kinks this will be a wonderful property. The surrounding area is lovely as well and there are two one-star Michelin restaurants a few kilometers in either direction."
