"This was incredible. If you are looking for a 5 star resort this may not be for you , but if you want a real authentic experience with an incredible view , I mean incredible. (This is saying a lot as I am from Alaska and have a high level of expectation for views ) the family that runs the base camp and restraint were so sweet this was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had in my life. Can’t wait to plan my trip back here! "

"Super convenient location right in the middle of the action - 5 minute walk from train station and bus station up to Machu Picchu. Lovely staff with ready to order breakfast and helpful/easy luggage storage. Beds and rooms comfortable with hot showers, good value. Warning - Aguas Calientes has a Vegas meets South America vibe - overrun with tourists and shopping so don't expect relaxation or a lot of nature! Definitely worth it to spend the night and make the long day less hectic:)"

"Great hotel, conveniently located. Super clean and cute. Request the room with a balcony over the train track. The others look like they were enclosed with no windows. Not sure. Breakfast ended at 8:00 AM which was really weird to me. Most continental breakfast that I’ve experienced in the US and about 10 o’clock. Wasn’t very helpful if we were sleeping in. Would be very helpful to have a to go breakfast for those going on an early bus to Machu Picchu."

"I only stayed here for one night so I didn’t get to know this hotel too well. I had a ticket to Machu Picchu at 6am so I arrived the day before. The lady that checked us in was very nice. Check in and check out was smooth. The room was nice and we had a nice view of the river. The hotel was near the bus stop where we got picked up to go to Machu Picchu so that was a plus. They had breakfast that started at 4:30am which was very thoughtful. I appreciated that since we had to leave the hotel at 5am to get to the bus. I would book this hotel again if I came back to Aguas Caliente."

"The staff where kind it felt like home your room is yours and you have everything you need the bed was comfortable and you hot showers and laundry service thank God! Please take into consideration the entire town is hiking everything!! Including the front door of this place if you dont mind a few steps just like everything else in town its a very home cozy vibe the family is very sweet"

"The room was clean and the breakfast was ok. You can leave your luggage while you visit Machu Picchu. The issue was the noise. Right across there was a karaoke and a night club. It so loud I had to get ear plugs to be able to sleep. I don’t understand why that level of volume is permitted in a town that precedes such a sacred city."
