Great property and very much enjoyed my stay. Only one concern, felt a little unsafe walking from back parking lot around the to front entrance at night. Other than that it was a great place.

When my boyfriend and I heard about this motel we were warned that it had been remodeled from something less than spectacular. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and have had nothing but great things to say about our stay. Friendly visitors and staff, and the grounds were well kept and our room was clean! We also didnt hear anyone while in our room. We enjoyed a less than 20 minute walk to downtown santa rosa for dinner and drinks, and throughly enjoyed our stay! We would definitely recommend.

The only reason I’m giving a 3 star review is solely based on the included breakfast options. It was only coffee/tea, an apple and yogurt with granola. I call this a continental breakfast. In that case I would’ve chosen another hotel with a better breakfast option. I was fooled by reviews that scored the breakfast as a 10/10 and 9/10. The hotel itself was fantastic and the management was great. That part was 10/10 for me.

There was no staff to check in when we got there. There was a sign to call a number. I called the number but only got a recording to leave a message. Left a message with my number but nobody called back. After waiting a while I was about to cancel when somebody finally showed up to help with the check in. A real waste of time.

We LOVED the beautiful landscaping, especially the citrus trees and being invited to pick some offerings to enjoy. They were delicious! We loved the breakfast...coffee and homemade granola plus extras that exceeded the best we've ever had...we're still raving. Fresh Cali cherries and delicious yogurt. We loved the joy of seeing something old and storied rebirthed into something that can serve present generations and be a blessing to those in need. Proverbs 11:25 and grateful appreciation to all!

We found the Astro an "interesting" upgrade of a 1960's motel. Everything worked, but the concrete floors were so cold I had to wear socks or shoes at all times. AC was also just a little flakey. Location was fine, garden areas and lounge/breakfast room charming,

The Astro decor was very unique and charming. I liked that it was pet friendly. The night manager waited for me as I was getting very close to closing time when checking in. The only thing I didn't like was the parking was a bit congested and away from the rooms.
