Room was clean and I actually like the cement floor, no carpet to hide weird things. Staff is friendly and location is great. Parking was a little weird on the side but fine for the value compared to the Marriotts and other corporates around the area. We will definitely be back.

It was pretty clean and I really like the way it is styled, doesn't feel like a regular gross hotel. The beds aren't the most comfortable and it's a motel type arrangement so it's obviously louder than being in an indoor facility. But overall I really liked it.

My kid woke up with bites all over his abdomen after sleeping in the bed, even though it looked clean. There was no microwave or kettle to boil water. When I mentioned that at checkout, the staff claimed that you have to special request those, but they hadn't told us that at check in. I don't think they care much. The breakfast was a bit better than the usual "continental", but that's the only thing that makes them better than a cheaper motel. Next time I'll stay at the Redwood Inn and save a lot of money to spend on meals.

I LOVE The Astro. The retro feel of the place is wonderful. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with a huge bathroom and a little "back yard" The breakfast was good and the staff was more than welcoming! I would happily stay here again, anytime! BTW I realized a few hours after we checked out that I had lost my wallet. I called them and the girl who answered the phone searched our room, found my wallet and put it in a plastic bag for me. I was sooooo relieved! She saved our trip!

Lovely grounds, a great base to explore wine country. I knocked one star off because the room, while clean, was very basic - no coffee maker/water boiler, small (but functional). Nice breakfast, lounge, places to hang out outdoors. We had a room on 2nd floor, and I didn't see an elevator, so if you're disabled, you might want to check about access before going

Stayed at the Astro for one day. The room was perfect- spacious, and all the amenities were exactly as advertised on the website and on Expedia. Our room was situated adjacent to the main street, and there were some street noise, but that was not an issue. The staff was welcoming and very efficient. We would definitely stay there again.

This place is super cute! I had a basic queen room on my way home from the airport.... stayed with my pup. It is very dog friendly, room was small but clean and adorable, with the most comfortable bed and really good coffee in the morning! I am a pretty picky person and I was pleasantly surprised at how comfy and thoughtfully decorated, as well as stocked the room was. After a long night of travel, I was happy to find the fridge stocked with a couple good beers and healthy snacks as well! Great stay, and my dog was happy as well:-) highly recommend

We love the Astro! The staff is super friendly and helpful, the rooms are artsy, clean, and spacious, and the property is also well maintained. It feels like apartments rather than motel rooms. We were in town for a concert at Sonoma State but ended up going to the Hot Air Balloon Fest at the fairgrounds, as well, since it fell on the same weekend. SSU was about 15 minutes away and the fair grounds was roughly a mile down the street. The location of The Astro is perfect. Right across from a beautiful little park (Juilliard) and the Luther Burbank Home and Gardens, and a short walking distance to downtown Santa Rosa. But the best part were really the property and staff. It is one of those unique places that puts details into everything. From the carefully chosen colors and furniture, to the beautiful grounds, perfect breakfast (including fresh fruit from their garden) and amazing staff. It will definitely be a place that we will return to. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

The Astro is a delightful 1963 remodeled motel with lots of charm and attention to its classic furnishings and vibe. The exterior area and sculpture garden is beautiful. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. We really enjoyed the breakfast lounge area with its groovy sitting area that was conducive to great socializing and conversation. The breakfast was deliciously delightful in its simplicity. The Astro is a true gem in Santa Rosa nestled across the street from the beautiful Luther Burbank House and Gardens which make an excellent destination for an after breakfast stroll.

Great location! My boyfriend and I were in town to see the best local Bay Area theater, the Imaginists which is located around the corner from the motel. We also had a wonderful breakfast across the street at the Parkside Café, which you can walk to as well. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was beautifully decorated and spacious. I definitely recommend staying here.!
