Waking up to the sound of waves was the best of the stay. Amazing view of the beach and open spaces. Staff were friendly and tried to accommodate our needs as best they could however as not a busy season at times it was hard to find some help. Food could improve. Having a safe, quiet and beautiful place by the beach that is also pet friendly is a wonderful combination. Would return and recommend.

I would definitely go back!
Staying at Villa Kite was a fabulous experience. The hotel is beautiful, modern, clean, and in front of the beach. I reserved the room in front of the oceans and it was great sleeping with the waves sounds. I loved the area, the hotel, the people working there were SUPER kind and accommodating. My only wish was that the room was bigger and the mattress more comfortable.

I loved the hotel! I also loved its location. Couldn’t be better! Also there’s a great little hamburger/pizza place to the side of the hotel that’s open only at weekends - try it! Best hamburgers and secret sauce is so special!

The idea of visiting Villa Kite had me excited Once i arrived i was a little disappointed in the room because it was very small and the bathrooms are even smaller. The service was good and staff was very helpful. overall it was an ok experience but could had been a lot better if they had more selection on drinks and food.

Drunk people being carried by hotel staff made the place lose its family friendly status. Restaurant food should be improved for the price charged. Fantastic ocean view. Pets friendly.

We are extremely sorry you, your family and other guests had to see such a scene, unfortunately we didn’t think that another guest was going to get so drunk. We took him to his room and the next morning he was asked to stop drinking which he did. As you wrote we are a family and pet friendly hotel and we will keep on working to keep it that way. Lovely location next right across from the b ach. Nice property with pool, pool table, small bar. They were very accommodating and served us breakfast late which was very much appreciated as we arrived late and slept in after 24 hours of travel!!!!

Dirty sheets in an unfinished room l
They gave us a dirty room that was only partially renovated and lacked basic things like blinds for the window. The room wasn't just dirty, it had been slept in and someone just made the bed up but it was full of hair from the previous guest. The blindless window opened to a hallway with a very bright motion sensor LED. Really bad experience the first night. They made up slightly the other nights. Staff was friendly, but management clearly not on top of their game. Area was cool, nice beach.

Nice hotel on the beach
Nice little clean hotel on the beach, excellent for a nice long stroll. Has a kite surfing school for those who want to learn. Several good small restaurants close buy. Easy to move around. You can take a taxi to manta for 15-20$ or wait for the public bus for $1.

Awesome Hotel right on beach. With Beach Bar
I can not say anything bad about this Hotel. The place is right in front of beach. The staff was super friendly, everything very clean. The owner Andres was very accommodating and resourceful. Also they have one of the best Kite School in Ecuador or anywhere. Xavier whom is the main Instructor is awesome. I took my time and did the course in 4 days.

Mala experiencia no lo recomiendo
Cuarto oscuro y sin ventilación, toallas viejas, no hubo productos de aseo personal y no se interesaron por proporcionarlos, el Agua de la piscina fría, no me entregaron factura y se supone q en el precio de la reserva ya está incluidos impuestos y sin embargo me cobraron el Iva, no sé si fue lo correcto. En todo caso, no regresaría y no lo recomendaría. No me gusto para nada el Hotel por el valor pagado no tiene relación con el servicio recibido.

Hice la resevación por expedia y en total salía por $241 dólares y me terminaron cobrando $278. Adicionalmente en la parte de la piscina de niños el olor es terrible.

Súper cómodo , la playa justo al frente y la piscina siempre calientita, no hay horario de uso de piscina y fue lo mejor poder estar de noche tranquilos en la piscina! Todo muy cómodo y limpio

Un lugar muy bonito y tranquilo para pasar con la familia. El personal es muy amable. El único inconveniente fue que me cobraron un helado que yo no ordené, ni me serví. Pero en general todo estuvo muy bien.

Not what we expected
Villa kite was quite disappointing compared to other hotels we‘ve stayed on out trip through south america. We stayed there for three nights over new year’s eve. The room we booked was the habitacion matrimonial, a very small room where we hardly had space to put our stuff and which was dirty when we arrived. The bathroom was even smaller, my knees almost touched the wall when I sat on the toilet. There was hot water and a good working AC. You have to like each other as the bed is quite small. It was not possible to properly darken the room and we slept with ear plugs because of many different noises from outside the room. The staff at the reception weren’t that friendly, but the others were, especially the barman. Breakfast was included. We were given the same prepared things each day. Cup of coffee/tea, glass of juice, bowl of fresh fruits, scrambled egg and arepas. Portions were rather small and neither coffee or eggs/arepas were served hot, and we had to ask them to refill our cups with coffee. We gave some clothes to the laundry and they mixed up ours with clothes from another guest. It took them two days until we had all our stuff back. Therefore, better note down what you give them to wash. The pool area was nice, there were beach beds with matresses. Also the bar had nice drinks. We would not choose this hotel and also not Santa Marianita again for a kitesuring vacation.

Bonito hotel, gran ubicación y buenos servicios, pero tiene dos tipos de habitaciones. La parte “vieja” es demasiado incomoda, no vale lo pagado. Hubiese querido pasar a las habitaciones modernas, pero no hubo espacio.

El lugar es muy bien localizado, las intalaciones son cómodas. Puntos a mejorar: la limpieza de las habitaciones, en mi estancia de dos días no hubo limpieza de mi habitación y el desayuno la ración es muy baja.

Un dia lamentablemente perdido
No encontraban la reserva. El baño de recepción y estaba encharcado y lleno de arena. Los dos cubículos teníanel piso y tachos de basura llenos de papel higiénico usado. Estaba vacio pero nos dieron una habitación en la que la pared que separaba el baño no llegaba hasta arriba y sentimos toda la noche el olor a cloaca. El control de la tv. no funcionaba y tuvo que prenderla el sereno. No podíamos subir ni bajar el volumen o apagarlo y dormimos toda la noche sin programas pero con el tv. encendido. Para la vista al mar habia que sortear la cama. No había placard sino un caño en la pared y 4 perchas. Tenía AA y un ventilador de techo que funcionaba junto con la luz y no se podía usar a oscuras. Yo solo deseaba que se hiciera de día para poder irme. El desayuno consistía en un café, un huevo, dos tostadas, un jugo y fruta. Como pagamos 2 noches al día siguiente nos cabiaron de habitación a una nueva, pero por ej. no tenía velador. PARECIA UN HOTEL DE PUERTO, ni de una estrella. Pagamos apenas un poco menos que en Puerto López en una de las mejores hosterías y un 70% de lo nos costó en Guayaquil uno de 4 estrellas excelente. Me habría ido en el momento de ver la habitación pero el taxi ya se había ido y estábamos muy lejos de todo. No sé cómo Expedia puede ofrecer esto presentando fotos que solo corresponden a una pequeña parte del hotel y la mayoría de las habitaciones son tipo hostel para mochileros

Hemos revisado los problemas con el personal y hemos procedido a tomar las medidas necesarias para evitar vuelvan a suceder, a su vez hemos implementado procesos en el servicio de check-in para evitar incidentes. Tengo entendido que el segundo día se realizó un cambio de habitación y se hizo todo lo posible para emendar los problemas del primer día, nuevamente sentimos mucho lo sucedido. Las instalaciones del hotel muy bonitas y muy buen servicio. Todos fueron muy amables y serviciales. La habitación no era como la había reservado y no cuentan con pago diferido.

La entrada al hotel fue buena, buen trato del personal, agradable estancia. Como punto en contra, la alimentación deja mucho que desear, el desayuno es muy poco, la comida cara y poca a la vez. Falta comida típica.
