Staff was nice. Showerhead in the assigned room was broken so just opted to downgrade stay in any available room. Needs more maintainance on all amenities. Too pricey for the experience

In a word... Neglected. The facility as a whole is in much need of repair. Not just the thatched roofs of the villas, but the wood rot on the eves as well as much of concrete that has broken away from the rusting rebar. The staff was courteous and location was quiet. The entrance to the resort is not clearly marked so is easy to miss. Swimming pool is small, easy to mistake as a koi fish pond. Wi-Fi only accessible outside on grounds or lower level of the villa, not inside the villa. Villa appeared clean, though still managed to contract HFM Disease, had to cut our stay short because of needing medical attention on mainland. Resort refused to reimburse/refund for unused days. In the end, a not so romantic, romantic retreat. Will not be returning.

We are undergoing repair to serve our guests better. With regards to your disease, may i know where did you contracted your HFM? Coz we were informed by your companion that you were already sick (diarrhea) way before you arrived in our resort. Nevertheless, I hope that you are feeling better now and somehow the first aide we provided you (i bought floracel probiotic and electrolite drink) helped. We appreciate your review it helps us do better.

We were on the beach the best views inside and out watched the sunrise through the wall of windows every morning

The resort is nice and secluded. It is within walking distance from the ferry and the the town if you chose. The property is well maintained and the lodges are spacious and comfortable. Some items could be upgraded but overall, the next time I go to Bantayan I will once more stay at Hoyohoy Villias.

A more secluded beautiful resort with very helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed our nightly stroll to the touristy MJ Square either along the beach or along the road. Highly recommend if you want a bit more solitude.

Very relaxing and and has big open spaces. Not a lot of people walking by the beach which makes the area relaxing. Only downside I saw that its 5 minutes by car to Santa Fe center where the good restaurants are.

I like the quietness and privacy of the place. The price of the food is affordable and taste delicious. The staff has good service. I just don't like the white curtain. Maybe you can opt to a thicker and dark in color. Definitely we'll be back if time permits.

Room was nice, clean. Outside personal shower was awesome. Outside grounds did live up to the photo on line and the pool did not even look clean. Bch was filthly and liter with trash washed up from the tide. They should least have a bch detail

The entire villa looks great. It’s instagrammable. The set-up is unique and elegant at the same time. The staff are very accommodating, polite, handle conversation well, honest, and attend to your needs quickly. Excellent experience

Happy there
Location made you feel like you have your own beach, I didn't like that they went in my room when I had the don't disturb sign on door. They saw us leave and went in to clean, I had my money and jewelry out as well ass all other belongings. Nothing was missing.

Location just OK, a little too close to Ferry terminal with no shops or restaurants close by especially as breakfast was not included in the price. Staff were excellent Had to spend extra money to travel to and from Restaurants every day due to the food offered being to expensive within the Hotel Linen needs replacing , very well worn out and stains on pillow cases and towels

The location was great as it is close to the ferry and only a couple minute trike ride to the food square/night life. The room itself could use a few repairs (cracks in the exterior doors, which allowed mosquitoes in). The staff was very helpful and the food was very good!

Tranquil but very close to the ferry port so the beach isn’t the best but a short walk down the beach and there are plenty of other beaches to park yourself. 10 min walk to the town where you’ll find a supermarket, stalls and places to eat. However, there were 2 nights of street raves, one which ended at 4am but easily caught up on rest during the day on the beach. Warm, clear sea and much needed to cool down from the 31 degree heat. I found the Resort staff to be really friendly & accommodating.

The Villas were within a 10 minute walk from the Ferry terminal. The rooms are spacious and nice. Very functional Comfort Room!

Staff was always cleaning room daily. Only issue was toilet was need of proper repair I room, as I had to watch and openntank a number of times to manually allow filling and stopping fill of tank.

Under construction beach what beach terrible beach
Under construction ,,,,beach what beach terrible beach, tried to get an upgrade , paid for a upgrade room but did not receive. Ended up moving to a different hotel for the last two nights. Way better resort. Very disappointing . Every time we would open our front door there was construction workers looking in. The beach was filthy. Could not lay on the sand or swim.

Best private beach front resort in Bantayan :)
The place is good for having a privacy and getting away from the crowd. Everything is great; the beach, pool, atmosphere, crew, food, and the beach front villas.

A perfect place to enjoy Bantayan!
The villas are amazing. Built to the typical local style. Very spacious, interior designed, and clean. The grounds are wonderful with plenty of space for everyone! With a lovely cool pool to enjoy. The food was delicious and served with style. Definitely a must stay place for people wanting a quiet calm relaxed hotel away from the hectic centre. Ideally located close to the ferry station but completely hidden from it. We loved this hotel and would definitely recommend

Has Potential
We stayed at 3 hotels on Bantayan: Hoyohoy, Anika, and Coral Blue. Of the 3, we preferred Hoyohoy. It was the cleanest, and had the most relaxing atmosphere. The grounds are quite pretty, tucked far from the main road, with green landscaping, and an oceanside setting. Of, course, it is very near to the pier, which makes swimming undesirable and the beach less attractive. Also, the "swimming pool" at Hoyohoy is more like a green pond with moss. This hotel should not be allowed to claim it has a pool. Another drawback was the breakfast, which, although served in nice presentation, was ridiculously overpriced, (most expensive of any hotel we saw) and not great. However, with that said, the room (an upper unit) was lovely, with vaulted ceilings, windows all around, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and spacious, with a bathtub and an interesting outdoor shower. The staff were nice enough to allow us early check-in, but overall not particularly welcoming or friendly. Still, that seems to be the case all over the island. Bantayan has lower standards and less tourist infrastructure than some other Philippines destinations. Still, overall, we thought this was a pretty and pleasant hotel. With a little more attention to detail and a few improvements, it could amazing.

Romantic getaway.
This is a very nice resort. Nice and quiet for a relaxing break. You will need a bike if you stay here but that's part of the fun on the island.

Overall nice place to stay. A bit too close to the shipping port. The water cleanliness was terrible. The beach was very littered. The hotel grounds were kept clean. The room was brand new but the shower drain design was a mosquito breeding grounds. Bring your mosquito repellent. They also did our laundry for small charge

All in all nice suites, yet the place seems under construction, the restaurant is very small and very limited (no wine) the pool was not very clean, seems the flooring has algae problems. We stayed only one night had a good time but I would not necessarily return After my experience in Malapasqua this was not up to par to be considered a "boutique hotel" of high stars. Comfortable rooms, good internet connection and overall friendly staff. Lack of management.

I booked this room accidentally and tried to change the dates but the hotel would not change the dates so I was forced to change my vacation plans. Upon arrival I noted the pool was under maintenance, and I ask if it would be fixed soon. Nope. I ask the groundsman cleaning pool how low it was broken, and he said it had been broken for a long time. Needed a pump. So I got this hotel because it was close to town and it had a pool my kids could swim in. No pool. The restaurant is overpriced and undermanned. Having owned several restaurants of my own. Don't expect service in under an hour.

Upon arrival was notified that the pool was closed indefinitely. The pool pump was broke and there was no specific date for it to be fixed. Meal at the resort restaurant are twice if not three times as expensive as meal in town. Bathtub is built for Filipino proportions, not American or European. If your taller than 5'4" it's pointless to try. Hot water comes from hot point supply. It's not hot, it's lukewarm at best. Toilet needs to be fixed, front door of cabin was warped, could only open half way. I could go on. Beachfront cabin is not really beachfront. It's more like a beach view. Very close to port of Sante Fe. So at 5:00 you can hear port loudspeakers calling out commands, and the ships honk horns loudly every hour as they come and go.

Fantastic
Fantastic. The villas are amazing. Great service. The beach is a little dirty and it is situated between the ferry port and a camp site so there is some noise, but overall it's the best place I've seen on bantayan. I'll be back for sure
