Holiday Inn Resort Aruba - Beach Resort & Casino by IHG
8/10 Good
"The only complaint I have is that one night I came to my room with a friend who wanted to see the room so that she can book for next time. We are adult women and were harassed by the security guards who try to keep away the spring break stragglers. I was very upset because we were taking a walk and went towards my room where we were treated like underage troublemakers. It was extremely uncomfortable and very weird. I complained to the reception desk but nothing happened. This place Tenant tense spring breakers and has no common sense in adult guests trying to navigate reports and even use casino .
Not very nice !

"Beach great, very walkable. Downtown not too far. Free parking if you rent a car, very easy to drive. Staff friendly.
Beach towel service was frustrating. Towels needed to be exchanged by room cleaning staff. So, if you want to spend the day at the beach with a fresh towel, this presents a condundrum.
Breakfast was fresh. Bar had a wider and I would say high quality selection for an all inclusive. Four different draft beers - Balashi, Amstel Bright, Miller Light, Heinekin.
Food quality was good, appreciated the non buffet style, items cooked to order with pagers at the mass feeding venue, this kept quality up and waste down. Would have liked a little more variety from day to day.
Of the reservation restaurants, what we had an opportunity to try were great. Making a reservation took an act if God. The app said you could not make a reservation until 2 days in advance, but even first thing in the morning two days prior options were limited, if at all. Going to the reservation desk wasn't much better. We wanted a reservation at the Mexican restaurant and they were able to get us one at the Asian. Dinner was very good. We heard others were told to go somewhere else. "
"Hotel facilities were ok. Staff was “ok” at best. No real desire to work or be there. All restaurants on site were full and no ability to eat dinner anywhere else but to go to another hotel about 1/2 mile down to eat. On site restaurants took forever to clean the tables for breakfast and lunch. Tables dirty waiters did not had a good face, they all seem broken and sad. Food stations attendant left it alone multiple time. It took 20 mins to order any meat from the buffet line. Customer service was horrible for the amount of money you pay, it could be at least good. On site shops super expensive, simple sandals $60. Onsite coffee shop staff, especially the women treated everyone with disdain. Every time some one will come up to order something she gave faces. Will I come back to this property? Probably not.
4 pools a lot of adults did not allowed space for kids to be around the pool. Bartenders at the pool bar (main pool bar) forgot orders placed by customers. "
"Barcelo Aruba , it was an okay experience. I think they could do better they have potential. Five days that i spent there it was impossible to find a chair available by the pool. Buffet food very blah it didn't have a very variety. Been Aruba i expected to find more friendly staff members. When i booked my vacation i had asked for a two queen size beds. Never got it instead we a got a one kind size bed, when i spoke with the front desk the day of arrival i was told that they would try to get a another room and let me know. Never did.
The one thing that i have to say is that the restaurants in the resort the food was very good. At aleast that. Definitely i love Aruba is one happy island 🏝 and i will definitely come back but i will stay in a different resort. "
"The staff is so nice and friendly!! The room was always neat and clean and tidy every day. The pools were great and never overcrowded. The beach area is large with many palapas for shade. The casino isn’t huge but we weren’t going to gamble. The property is kept really well and the breakfast buffet is stocked with great breakfast items! Kids under 5 eat free and my older daughter who is 8 ate for half price. We had a great vacation and will definitely be back to stay at the Hilton. "
"The room was clean, 3 queen bed (1sofa bed). the sofa bed was not that comfortable. TVs did not work but we didn’t use them anyway. The wifi worked well at the resort. Staff was great brought us extra blankets and towels as we needed. The pool was big enough to wear it never felt crowded. The Beach area was nice and private but rocky in the water. Breakfast was great!
"
"Great place and perfect for families. Not overly packed like other resorts and plenty on site to do. Divi beach is adjacent to the property and is beautiful.
My one gripe is the service. Some restaurants on the property would use one waiter for the entire place and we would be waiting for very long time for any acknowledgement. This is the case at many all inclusive places, though "
"Excellent service from staff. Clean and well maintained property. Loved the pools. Only drawback is size of beach area and access to chairs and umbrellas. Great location overall. "
