Our stay at this hotel was great! Our first floor room was very spacious and was well-stocked with everything we needed except body lotion. We would have loved another outlet or two (one on each side of each bed would have been great; one bed did not have an outlet on one side) and drawers vs. shelves for storing clothing would have been even better, but overall I have nothing bad to say. The fitness center was extremely clean and there was lots of equipment available, and I especially loved that it was open 24/7.

First thing first, hotel parking is under the hotel and its valet only. $40 a night and no choice of other parking. Only other parking is on the street which is at risk of being hit plus you have to pay for parking which is more than the valet. Welcome to the city and Marriott Courtyard. Hotel was super nice, area was nice and quiet and 2 min down the road from the boardwalk. Hotel itself was clean, classy, and modern. Staff were respectful and extremely helpful. They have a 24/7 snack and drink shop that gets charged to your room so no need to scramble to pay at the time. They have a bistro for breakfast and dinner, it does cost $15-$25 to eat. IS NOT FREE!! Elevators from ground floor and up require room card to ensure only guests and employees have access to rooms. Our room was very clean! Not a stain on the furniture, mattress, or sheets. Bathroom was spotless and modern with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. They have supply makeup remover wipes for your spouse!! Rooms are supplied with smart Samsung tv with full on cable and options to securely login to your streaming apps like Netflix, logs you out everytime TV turns off to ensure the next guest doesn’t have access to your account. Room was excellent all together! Bed and furniture were super comfortable! They have a gym and heated pool, NO HOT TUB! saving the best for last the Valet services were AMAZING! The guys manning it 24/7 were respectful, got our doors for us! They were the cherry on top! Loud blue Kia!

no hotel parking, forced to pay for valet. room service is only in certain days so trash might not get emptied out and bed will not be made daily. construction was happening during our stay so it was quite disturbing. it was a great stay though, beds are super duper comfy and was near al the things planned for the trip.

The check-in process was extremely slow. The staff are very inefficient. They places us in the farthest room from the elevator even after I had requested a convenient one due to having my kids with us. The staff made it seem like she picked the best room, but the view was of the freeway and the Motel 8 next door. Hotel is decent - service is terrible. Probably would not stay again.

The staff was excellent, but the bistro was closed two of the four nights we were there. We were led to believe it was open every night. We had to make other accommodations for dining. The nights it was closed.

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel failed to meet our expectations, despite its premium pricing. The front desk staff was underwhelming, and the hotel's policy of charging extra for even basic amenities, such as in-room water, was disappointing. Moreover, the noise pollution between rooms made it challenging to rest, and a persistent, unpleasant odor was present. Regrettably, we will not be returning to this hotel in the future.

The place was nice and all but it was a bit too pricy when I booked only for 1 night on Easter Sunday. I mean why pay $300 for 1 night and valet parking is extra. Plus no free 2 water bottles in the room. I'm not sure if the whole Santa Cruz area is like this but it's too pricy considering the services they gave.

IF YOU ARE A COUPLE LOOKING FOR A NICE RELAXING STAY NEAR THE OCEAN DO NOT STAY HERE. No room service. Restaurant is expensive and small menu. Too many kids! My husband and I stayed here 3/29/24 and we got there early and they were nice enough to get us a room at 3 pm instead of the 4 pm regular check in. We thought parking was outrageous at $25 per night. Also, they had limited food in the restaurant that opens from 5 pm to 9 pm and the prices were too high. We bought one margarita, coffee, tater tots and cheesecake for $45. The tater tots were in a small container and the cheesecake was mini sized. The hotel doesn’t have room service and we were unable to order anything in our room. We had to go downstairs to order. My husband and I were doing this trip as a nice getaway from work for one night to relax and it was anything but. Next door to us was a huge family with four kids and they were reunited with another family with kids who were a couple doors down and they were running up and down the hall ways and screaming till 10 pm. Pool was also closed.

The hotel was nice. Two things I’m upset about. Check out was at 11am and we had a worker walk into our room at 10am. We didn’t hear a knock on the door before he came in. My girlfriend was in bed and while I was in the bathroom, while he came in. This really made me upset and made us feel unsafe. I came out of the bathroom quickly since I heard a dude in our room. You would think there’s a system, telling the workers that the guest haven’t checked out. We were in shock he came into the bedroom, even though our bags were near the door, indicating we where still in the room. I called the front desk and just got a measly sorry for the inconvenience. Secondly our check in was at 4. We got there at 4 and had to wait 45 minutes for our room. The lady told us it would be a few minutes and forgot to tell us. We went up the desk to check to see how much longer after 45 minutes to be courteous. When we were told it’s been ready. Just not what I expected from this hotel.
