"Place excellent great staff nice food only problem was there was no chair in my room if you lay on the bed you fall asleep but great place"

"Over all not the stay we were hoping for. The carvery roast and breakfast was good and the staff were nice. But the spa was not included in the room cost as described making it not worth £148 a night, the 4 poster bed was not as described in the online photos and the bedroom window opens up over another rooms private hot tub where they allow other guests to smoke all night filling our room with smoke."

"Excellent service and beautiful food."

"Clean, comfortable with pleasant, helpful staff. A welcome pack/folder would have been nice. Good to have iron and ironing board provided. A few more hangers perhaps and a more comfortable chair!"

"La camera era pulita e deliziosa nell'arredamento, con dei tocchi caratteristici e personali che ricordano gli interni di una nave. Materasso immenso, un vero piacere dormirci. Anche lo stile del ristorante ci è piaciuto molto, e piacevole la passeggiata lungo il fiume per raggiungere la città. Ci ritornerei."

"Everyone at the Pack Horse Inn were so so lovely and welcoming, we had such a great stay! We hope we can visit again and do some of the nearby walks too. The food is amazing, really tasty and very generous portions!"

"Rooms and bar needs redecorating out dated and not clean"

"Stayed here on a Thursday overnighter with my hubby, it doesn't look much from outside, but step inside and what a little gem! This place has just 3 rooms, ours was immaculate and I'm sure it was a higher standard than your average pub hotel. The decor was really nice, bed was super comfy, tea & coffee making facilities, and the bathroom was very nice and a decent size with a good electric shower. We had a delicious full cooked breakfast made for us the following morning. Free parking nearby (...

"Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. Nice pub. Good breakfast. Perfect for Buxton stop over. 2minute walk from Opera House for gig we were at. And parking nearby."
