"The residence Inn in Seaside California was an amazing stay for us. Large rooms, extremely clean, super friendly staff and very helpful in every way. The location of the property is excellent super close to shopping and steps to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay there."

"This is an older property, and it shows. We had a downstairs room and we could hear every step, scrape, chair and more from the guests upstairs. It's built around a small car park and you will hear every car that comes and goes all night long. If you';re looking for a good night's sleep you may want to look elsewhere. That aside, rates are decent for PacGrove, and it was very clean. Upcharge to have a dog in the room, which I always find a bit of a ripoff--"

"Very nice, spruced up motor lodge. Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. Great for our group of 6 headed to the Steinbeck museum and house. Would stay here again."

"This place was great for work and fun. The room was clean and had everything you'd need for a good night's stay: microwave, fridge, TV, and a desk. The bathroom was good, and the bedding was okay. It looked like it had been recently updated, too. Overall, a good spot for a quick night in Monterey."

"The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks with mold on the kitchen sink. Thick dust was everywhere and the sheets and pillow cases had suspicious stains. When I went to ask if we could get a different room I was told by the front desk representative that if I didn’t like the service I could just leave. On top of that , “maintenance” knocked on my door after midnight which was very unsettling."

"Cute from the outside and pretty clean but the rooms and the beds, were very small. The walls were paper thin and the AC noisy. The pillows were uncomfortable and overall none of us got a good nights sleep. We spent 8 nights on a CA roadtrip and unfortunately this hotel was the one we couldn’t wait to leave."

"Location wise, it was convenient if you ignore the cemetery nearby. However, we felt misled by the reviews we saw, I expected something truly exceptional, but it was just average and worth less than what we paid. The breakfast was modest, and carbs heavy, there was no eggs. Every time someone nextdoor flushed their toilet you could hear it. And ther was insulation problem with the building, rooms always hot and humid despite the gorgeous weather outside and AC was not helpful."

"First the hotel is in a gas station parking lot!!!! Like open the door and someone is pumping gas 25 yards away. The room has all kinds of problems from the dried up water leak to the holes in the walls around the tv, burns on all the furniture, the ice machine is outside and some homeless guy was just filling up a jug with ice at 10 at night"

"This place is old, dated and small. Clean but smelled a little because of its age and use. We had prepaid for the one night stay but they insisted on charging our card a $150 deposit! I asked why. Just to make sure we didn’t trash our room. We are an elderly couple. We are not about to trash their room. "Our room is clean and comfortable. We chose this Inn as we were going to stay for a week and find that it is within our budget. We just needed a simple and safe place to sleep in and didn't need a fancy one as we are going to be out most of the day. It is also close to places where we'll be going to. The air conditioner works and the beds were comfortable. Rooms are cleaned every day unless you put out a sign out the door. They clean it really well. "Fantastic Julia Morgan property with wonderful details. Shower big enough to spin around in. Like stepping into the past. Beautiful grounds. Can walk to the beach. Need to drive nearly everywhere else."

"Location misleading. Property in total poorly maintained. WiFi poor to none, did not have WiFi 1st 4 days of stay. 1st room was 424, totally uncomfortable, cramped no WiFi reception and wall heater not working. Moved to 412 for last 3 days and got WiFi but wall heater not working. Frequent visitors to Monterey and will never stay there again."
