We booked a complete room for 4 adults, immediately checked with hotel to make sure we had a private bathroom since we were traveling with my elderly parents, a private bathroom was all we cared about, they confirmed that the bathroom was inside but when checking in later that night, the bathroom was shared with other rooms and when we called to complain about it, they just said that the case was being reviewed but didn't answer until 72 hours later and they denied our claim. Not going back there and not recommending it to anyone with a family.

A terrible check in process for anyone on the go
We were a group of 8 traveling together and walking the camino del Norte. This is on the other side of San Sebastián so added several km to an already long hike...in addition the check in process is the worst I've ever experienced. It took us 2 hours + as there is no person at the front desk to help. I was literally standing at an intercom with 7 others waiting for almost 2 hours! there has to be a more accessible way for those on the go to not have to enter every person' information. A front desk person would make this a much more pleasant experience. Otherwise it was miserable.

Kontiki Tours and kids at a sport camp overwhelmed the hostel. Some staff were helpful, some moody. The beds offered little privacy, and the rooms were tight. The patio was unavailable for some reason - or reserved for the bus tour. The location is up a hill, but the parts with views have no chairs or social amenties.

A sense of home in a foreign country
Lovely staff, clean and comfortable rooms and the beautiful San Sebastián to occupy your waking moments. I was very happy here and extended my stay. Ignoring the wonderful setting that is San Sebastián I struggle to fault my welcome and stay at this hostel. Having a fast metabolism i perhaps found it a little warm inside at times with the staff preferring the warmth of the recently past summer to the comfortable autumn temperatures.

Highly recommended.
Excellent place to stay. Was easy walking distance to cafés, restaurants or the bus system to get to downtown San Sebastian. The staff was great, the environment you felt safe and it was nice and quiet.

Staff was very kind and helpful. A plus for the hostel. The bathroom/showers could have been maintained a bit better (toilet seat and flush buttons broken in one bathroom). The 6 bed shared dorm was smaller than expected, and got stuffy at night.

This is excellent accommodation for all age groups. We stayed in an en suite family room for 4 which was clean and comfortable. It was very quiet and even didn’t use cafe it looked good. Only down side is if you have a car there is no parking and of course as this was peak period hard to find parking in area.

a Good hostel but far a way to get to .
The location is out of town you need to take a bus number 18 or 25 to get to from city center and when you arrive you need to walk an walk up long steps to get to the hostel also you need to pay for your own towel and you are not allowed to bring any food from outside .

Good
Really clean and modern. No kitchen but there are microwaves and toasters. Rooms are small, so prepare for that. Very helpful staff. It’s not far from the beach, but prepare for a walk up the hill!

Good location, nice hostel.
Good location. Friendly staff. Quality bunk beds (the bottom bunk doesn’t shake when someone climbs to the top). Kitchen has decent facilities. Near the beach, along the Camino route.

Great value, comfortable family rooms
Great value stay, room was clean and comfortable, and location was extremely safe and fairly convenient. This was our first hostel stay as a family, and we were pleasantly surprised by the room. It was more spacious than I expected and the beds were very comfortable. Our only issue was that we were there along with a large group who had special parties in the common area/dining room, which seemed to limit both the hours and the menu that were available to other guests. It impacted our experience a little, but was not a dealbreaker. Our stay was still very good, and I would not hesitate to recommend Koisi to other travelers (I actually already have).

I was very unsure about staying in a hostel but accomodations in Basque Country aren't cheap. My husband and I booked a private room with a bathroom and had an excellent stay. The staff are super friendly, you're offered a free beer at check in. There's a cute cafe on the main floor that you can purchase breakfast for $4eu, everything was clean, the location is a beautiful 25 minute walk to old town along La Concha beach, or a 5 minute bus ride. There was an interesting mix of people of all ages staying a Koisi when we were there, we definitely recommend it!

Very comfortable and clean place. We took the private room for 4, and was exelent. Exelent service. The place is a little far from the old city. Something like 20 min. By bus.

If you’re on a budget and don’t mind shared bathrooms, this is definitely the place to stay. It is a very hip and vibrant hotel, the staff is super friendly and attentive. The room was clean, and I was surprised at how clean they kept the shared bathrooms. It is close to the old town (just a bus ride away), and it has a bar/cafe in the lobby so there’s always something going on. The room was alright, lots of marks on the wall due to banging luggage from previous guests. The beds were always nice and fresh, so were the towels. Perfect hotel if your’re adventuring and single, I booked it by mistake and was traveling with my parents, but we didn’t mind it since it was so well kept and clean, and were there only for a short stay.

Koisi was very clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly and helped us with printing transport tickets and giving us local directions. The wifi is fast and the little bar/cafe in the foyer is cute and open quite late.

The main downside is this is a 30+ minute walk to the main part of San Sebastian, and there isn't good bus service. The accommodations were nice other than the beds were a bit crammed in my room (6 bed female, which fortunately wasn't full).

Modern hostel close to the beach
One of the best hostels I've stayed in (I spent a year traveling, staying in hostels) Located on a steeper hill, not bad unless you have a lot of luggage :) nicely set in a residential neighbourhood, my room even had a view. Close to one of the beaches, just up the hill from a main road with bus connections. 30 min walk in to the marina, and barrio alto, €8 taxi ride from the same area.

Nice quiet hostel
Really nice hostel. Clean and modern. Each bed has a lamp, plug sockets and a small space to store a couple of items. Stayed in the 8 bed dorm which was more spacious than the 6 bed dorm. Breakfast was basic - bread, cereal, tea, coffee, juice but included so can't complain. Close to Ondretta beach (5 min walk) and 30 min walk to Old Town. Preferred Ondreatta beach as it was a bit quieter and sand better. A few places to eat and drink in the area as well. Only thing that lets the hostel down is that there wasn't much of a social atmosphere. Mainly groups of friends and couples staying there and you would hardly see anyone at the bar. Still managed to meet a few people but not as social as I was expecting. Would be good if the hostel organised activities. So definitely not a party hostel but good if you want relaxed and chilled out. Overall I'd say I enjoyed it.

Il faut savoir qu'il n'y a pas de réception. Hors je n'ai pas reçu par avance de leur part un SMS ou mail me permettant grâce à un code de m'enregistrer sur leur site afin d'avoir codes et n° de chambre. Je suis arrivé à 20h et il n'y avait donc qu'un téléphone/interphone pour avoir de l'aide.Soit disant disponible 24/24 et 7j/7. J'ai du appuyer 50 fois pour obtenir quelqu'un. Qui parle bien sur espagnol et heureusement anglais. On était proche des 22h et je me voyais dormir dans ma voiture. Enfin quelqu'un ! Le problème est que le son est nasillard plus le bruit de la cafétéria et des personnes présentes, c'était très dur de comprendre. Entre temps, J'ai fait trois demande à Koisi hostel par internet sur leur site pour qu'il m'envoient un mail avec mes codes sans succès !!! J'étais près de leur téléphone avec mon smartphone et mon PC portable durant tout ce temps. Ce n'est que vers 22h que j'ai enfin pu faire mon enregistrement et aller dans ma chambre. C'est une honte un tel système et surtout qu'il n'y es aucune aide facile autre qu'un vieux téléphone pourri dans une pièce de passage. Sans réception de leur mail avec un code de réservation on ne peut rien faire. A noter que j'ai vainement tenter par le numéro d'aide en 08 de joindre hôtel.com sans succès depuis l'espagne et j'ai fais toutes les combinaisons possibles !!!

Hôtel très correct, sympa, hyper propre un peu sur les hauteurs de San Sebastian. Le personnel est très disponible et accueillant. Attention, nous n'avons rencontré aucun personnel parlant français mais aucun problème en anglais.

Lo que necesitas para poder dormir en San Sebastian. Una de las opciones mas económicas. La habitación estaba muy bien. La cama cómoda. Lo único el baño compartido, no nos duchamos porque no habiamos llevado chanclas. Por lo demás muy bien. Tiene un espacio con mesas y un microondas por si quieres cenar alli, y también tiene la cafeteria.

J'ai essayé de préparer notre arrivée tardive mais au bout de 10 essais avec mon interlocutrice (bienveillante et victime comme moi d'un dispositif d'enregistrement nul) il n'a pas été possible de recevoir le mail dans un premier tps puis de l'enregistrer et d'avoir les codes pour rentrer dans l'hôtel et avoir numéro et accès chambre. On m'avait certifié que je pourrais accéder à une tablette pour m'enregistrer et accéder à ma chambre une fois sur place. Nous avons attendu 20min en pleine nuit sous la pluie que quelqu'un nous ouvre après avoir tambouriné sans arrêt à la porte. Il aurait suffit de nous transmettre au moins le code entrer dans l'hôtel... L'organisation est calamiteuse, à eviter
