"I didn't give the place a full 5 star review, but I liked it and intend to return. I was first there in 1992 when the hotel was new. I didn't actually stay in the hotel, but camped the beach as a broke university student and they let me use the washrooms. Since then I always wanted to come back and stay there. The location is awesome. The beach is spectacular and it's it's in a very private quiet location. I was there in late October so the ocean was still warm for swimming. I had the water mostly to myself except for the dolphins, sea lions and some unidentified whale. The staff are great and food is good. Just be warned that the property is kind of old and run down. Maybe it's neglect from previous owners or storm damage. Worth a visit if you happen to be in the area."
