"The resort is beautiful, the food delicious, and the staff helpful and friendly. The pool area is huge and wonderful. Loved the swim up bar with the warm water. Also, Caren the concierge was extremely helpful organizing tours, a cooking class, and dinner reservations. She made everything so easy. "

"Pros: I'm 69 and was a little hesitant because it also has dormitories but it turned out better than expected. I highly recommend the Sandbar Beachfront Hotel. My private room was clean, had a nice patio with an ocean view. The air conditioning worked great. The staff are so helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was different everyday and always included fresh fruit and a protein. I liked the kitchen arrangement where you can cook your own food and use the refrigerator, microwave, and other appliances. The common sitting area was lovely - ocean view and comfy chairs and tables. There was even a friendly cat for those who like animals! Although I never used the rooftop pool it was a great spot to watch sunrises and just hang out for views. The restaurant is excellent with a nice happy hour and the hotel is located close to shopping, beach, other restaurants, entertainment and snorkeling tours. Cons: The shower was luke-warm but with the weather being so hot it felt good. My room was located above the bar so it was a bit noisy at night but I was well aware when I booked. Ear plugs were provided but I didn't need them since the noise was tolerable for me. I would definatly stay there again when in San Pedro."

"Front staff was amazing. Answer all our questions and offered information on exploring the island. They really took wonderful care of us, with excellent customer service. Hotel is older but well cared for. Relaxing pool, excellent air conditioning and restaurant on site. Only improvement needed is to upgrade the beds. "

A special thank you to Tuji our swim up bartender for the delicious drinks, history lessons about the Caye and tips on navigating the island on our golf cart! I cannot stress enough that this place was so fantastic for a slow, romantic vacation. If you’re looking for something a little more exciting than that, stay closer to town!"

"My wife is in a wheelchair and we could not have navigated the beach sand or loading on/off the boats without their assistance. We lived in Hawaii for 10 years only in retirement have we actually took time to slow down and relax. Best vacation ever. Crystal clear waters. Staff that becomes family. Good food, drinks, and song. "The resort seems to be fairly new and still in construction. We had ants in our room for the entire stay and called everyday for someone to call resolve the issue. I also noticed that other guests were shown around the property and we were not. The hospitality could have been much better. "
