I loved that this place was so small (only three rooms) and right on the beach. It was an easy walk to restaurants, hangout spots and the surf breaks. I was looking for an affordable place to stay in Popoyo that had a shared kitchen but I am in my 40s and didn't want to stay at a party hostel. Wild Waves was PERFECT for me! It was in a convenient location for going out and socializing but I could come home to sleep and wake up in a quiet, clean place. The shared kitchen was always very clean and never crowded. I appreciated that my room was cleaned every day and that I was offered fresh sheets and towels. I also appreciated that Gianny, the owner, lived on site and was so hospitable. He was able to hook me up with surfboard rentals and lessons and really made me feel at home. He seemed genuinely interested in making sure that I had a good time. He even gave me a ride to my next destination, which was 20mins. away! I would definitely stay here again.
