"Good hotel"

"The hotel overlooks the old city and has a stunning view. It’s convenient to go to the city by taxi or Uber, just $2 or $3. The hotel stuff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is really good. Dinner is good too. "

"They offered a driver / guide trips to various locations through the hotel which we found easy and convenient to see some main sites. The breakfast was good on a roof top cafe. Quaint hotel offering cultural flair. Only issue was the wooden floors and the sound of everyone walking and waking us . Nice staff. "

"This is a very different style hotel if you are used to staying in the big chains. We had a family room booked for my family of 3. My son slept in the loft and loved it. The hotel appears to have been completely restored. Lots of old wooden features and art work. There is a wine cellar where you can purchase a bottle of wine and there is a spiral stair case that takes you to the roof and gives you a GREAT view of the historical area of Quito. We encountered rain every night so we did not get the chance to go to the roof and enjoy a drink. Hotel does provide loaner umbrellas cause when it rains in Quito, it RAINS. This is an old hotel, so the floors do squeak in spots but you get used to it. Staff was amazing, they helped us book a tour and transportation. They also made us breakfast every morning with fresh fruit and eggs. Location is great. You are like 5 blocks to the basilica church in one direction, 4 blocks to a "mall" that has great food options. And 2 blocks to Teatro Sucre which is where a bunch of tour groups pick up."
