"This is a small town in Italy away from everything. 4 hours and 2 trains from Rome. This bed and breakfast (coffee and croissant in the Centrale Bar in the piazza below) may be one of only a few places here to stay. They have no fast food chains in this town of about 12,000 but it is a slice of Italy that hasn't changed much in the last 50 years. The accommodations were very good but there is no staff onsite. "This place was nice and convenient to the train station. Clean, staff friendly, although not around when I checked out so just left the keys on the desk (I hope that was ok?), but were there when I checked in, thank goodness, Bimbi carried my bags up the many stairs (although there was a lift if needed). The room was huge, and air con worked well. Only down side was the window shutters were broken so let in first light. Other than that, all good."
