The hotel lobby and my room appeared to be updated and clean until as soon as I walked into my room, and turned on the light, a baby roach greeted me!!! I immediately walked out. I didn’t even see the bathroom or any other areas..After back n forth, I got my security cash deposit back. I was told they’d release my other money back in the morning. 4/30 still waiting for the refund. However, the front desk guy was wasn’t mean or rude. Despite what I was told by people who claim to know the area, it’s the Tenderloin. A mecca for homeless, etc. 2-3 blocks from 5th St - Civic Center BART.

For the price it's definitely a good place to stay with closeness to Bill Graham, BART, and a couple of small hole in the wall restaurants and convenience stores. . The sheets I had were not clean at all and covered in stains which I think we all know where they're from (they did not have bed bugs that I could tell which was nice). The bathroom is a shared one and key me tell you now, it's SF so when I was there, walked in one morning to a seat smeared with feces and I was disgusted and refused to use the bathrooms there. . The staff were nice tho and like I said for 2 beds a fridge, TV, WiFi, and a microwave it was a good price but could've been way better as well.

Could not even park to to even TRY to check in. Dangerous neighborhood-- too dangerous to even leave our car. The hotel has no working phone number. Tried to cancel and get refund through expedia--- Hotel has "policy" to NEVER DO SO. Hotel exist to steal your money -- refusing to refund when you see how horrific the location is. ( I have traveled the world -- including SE Asia, and have never felt this unsafe. ) terrible hotel who will never refund our money.

Warfield Hotel - the stuff HORROR MOVIES ARE MADE OF! In my 25 years booking through Expedia this is the first time I felt compelled to write a negative review. This “property” claims to be a 3 star hotel, however - it needs to be shut down completely - it is not even a star compared to any other 1 star property on Expedia. Dirty, disgusting, infested, missing closet rods and hangers, nasty used sheets with brown marks on them, old banged up furniture, wall mirror off the hooks sitting on the floor inside the closet, toilet paper laying on top of the counter cause toilet paper holder is broken, mold all over the bath tub and growing pink colored bacteria at the tile on the walls - just to mention these few surprises inside the room. Outside, in the hallways, taped up under construction walls with open doors to communal toilets snd bathrooms, stench of food mixed with smell of human feces everywhere. I paid to get my room to be upgraded to include a private bathroom which I previously mentioned was gross! No way I was gonna shower there. Elevator had a large ladder standing inside and a creepy hotel handyman decided to take me up to my room when I checked in asking all kinds of questions, some other person that was staying at the hotel tried to get into the elevator with us to go up but the creep slammed the metal inner door in front of him and did not let him get And when I went down to ask the front desk why there were no hangers in the room - I was told to f*** off!

The hotel is clean and the staff was friendly. They even let me check in early. I stayed in a room with a king sized bed and en suite bathroom. The room was on the small side but I was only spending the night and leaving early the next morning.

Staff was very nice and helpful. The location is in the tenderloin so not a very nice neighborhood. I was in the city for work so proximity to where I needed to be this hotel was only a 10 minute walk. I’m used to places that have a thermostat in the room so having no way to adjust heat or cold was not ideal but I also understand it’s an old building without an HVAC system in place. My room was clean, the people working there were pleasant, based on cost for what rooms go for in San Francisco there are reasonable.

I couldn’t find a parking so I had to park my car in the street near the hotel because it was a dark night. I got a ticket of $108 for a restricted parking next morning. When I told the receptionist that I got a ticket he wasn’t empathetic at all, he smiled with sarcasm and said “well you should read the sign”, I told that he doesn’t have to be “smart” about it cause there wasn’t any signs and even there were I couldn’t see any at 2 am. There was no drinking water in the hotel, the cooler was broken. Overall nice location, good breakfast. This is an Iconic hotel to the Warfield theater. It's nostalgic and has an old pulley elevater. V at the front desk at night was so so kind as was Sam in the he morning. Definitely coming back

We were woken up by extremely loud construction at 6:30am, I understand this to be out of their control however the staff not informing us before or when we arrived was not appreciated. There was also a fire at the establishment during our stay in which we received no information and the whole situation was poorly managed by the staff. Overall the place was not a pleasant place to stay the area was unsettling and the staff weren’t particularly friendly

The staff of the hotel was very kind and helpful. I stayed in a nice room with King bed size and private bathroom. The hotel has breakfast, which is a good advantage. Despite being in the Tenderloin neighborhood, I felt completely safe in the hotel. Considering the area, there is some noise outside.

J'ai annulé ma réservation de 7 nuits car le secteur est présentement sous la garde d'une escouade spéciale envoyée par le gouverneur tellement il y a d'itinérance et de drogue. J'ai sérieusement crains pour ma sécurité. J'ai tenté de négocier une entente de payer une pénalité, mais le propriétaire a refusé. Le quartier Marina est beaucoup plus recommandable.

Run Down
Extremely run down but price does not reflect that. Too high of a deposit for the condition. There is cigarette smell throughout the hallways. Comforter is stained and has cigarette burn holes. No AC but ceiling fans. Shared bathrooms are not stocked with toilet seat covers. Overall not worth the price.
