The elevator was out of service and my room was on the fifth floor and I had to take the stairs every time. The room is very small and its door did not lock properly. I have to make sure the door is closed or not. Having a sink inside it makes it worse because water splashes out on the floor. The room has a bad smell. The bathroom is shared and very small. There was a window in the bathroom where you can hear sounds that seems like some mice. Finally, the neighborhood is not quite good and there are a lot of people sleeping on the streets and they listen to music all the night.

It was dirty. The carpet throughout the building was crusty like a dog that has never been washed or groomed. They had no pride in their business. The shower was horrible and hot water took over 25 minutes to start up. The shower was not kept. Things were rusty. The bathrooms had no sinks to wash your hands, so you could imagine how dirty the door knobs are. The direct TV only had local channels and HBO. All other channels were locked out. I told the owner but he did not know what to do.

Stinky urine dirty bathroom!
Bathroom smelled like urine, there was an open window with a ladder leading to the window! Walls are super thin and there was very loud music and stomping around until midnight. Scary entrance with intimidating scary people out front. Toom was clean and there as a nice blanket. Please wash the bathroom!!!

Housekeeping only walked in on me once in my locked room. Management woke everyone up at 10pm one night because the computer crashed and they were making sure, with proof, that everyone in the rooms had paid to be there. The elevator was broken and they have 5 floors, or when someone leaves the elevator door open it doesn't work and has to be manually closed. Staff said there were no rooms available but if you book online you get a room. Staff doesn't know much english so they call their son who is offsite, was double-billed once. Some room lights don't work, bathroom was locked for 3 days on the inside, they don't tend to let guests in after 12:30 so consider that your curfew. not many outlets in the room so if you have anything to plug in you may need to unplug stuff. Most of the doors slam, other guests sometimes scream at each other for a half hour to an hour in the hallways late at night. other than those things, not as bad as expected.

This should not be sold as an accommodation... If you are a homeless person looking to get out of the elements for a night then I would say go ahead and book.. The place reaked of cheap pinesol. The front office agent seemed pissed I waked him to ask a question... There is no hot water, no ac and the bathroom is filthy with black mold n green fungus.. DO NOT!!!!! I say DO NOT book here. You will end up leaving and going elsewhere. For your own health and sanity. I am very surprise this place has passed an inspection to be a registered establishment to do accommodations

If you want to get murdered... stay here.
Well, first morning I was woken up by what I have to assume to be a homeless woman screaming in the hall outside my room. This lasted about 2 hours. The bed was broken. The shower was filthy. The room in general was not horrible but the deadbolt did not function since the door clearly had to be broken into a few times. I never felt safe. Oh and I also had to stand outside for an hour at night while the person operating the lock at the door wasn’t answering. I will never stay here again. Condemn the place.

The hotel was literally located in a very ghetto. All of the surrounding places had bars on the walls. The beds were very old and lumpy; in addition, they had no top sheet. Outside, people were screaming, fighting, whistling, yelling, and panhandling ALL NIGHT. (My jacket was stolen outside its premises.) My brother had NO sleep because of the noise, and I had very little---only because I was so exhausted from the trip in. Lastly, the fire alarm was disabled, and the gas alarm appeared to be non-functioning. Expedia MUST take this hotel off its list of options; otherwise it might be liable for some of its customers.

Terrible location, staff was rude, and the entire encounter was extremely sketchy. When I arrived they denied that I had a reservation but after over twenty minutes on the phone gave me a key to my room and never asked for a deposit or credit card. When I checked out the man just said “ok, that’s it.” Super strange and they were not friendly or helpful. In addition the elevator only worked from the second floor up and the bathrooms were disgusting. I would not recommend to anyone. Cut costs elsewhere if you can.

The list of negatives about this hotel is appauling there is not enough space in this sqaure to write the horror novel of experience that I endured during my stay . I travel a lot and have been to LOTS of hotels and this one by FAR HANDS DOWN IS THE WORST .

Centrally locally. Close to everything. Homeless are settle right outside the hotel day and night and they are loud. They did not bother me, but I was kind of scared specially at night. Room was clean and roomy; it a microwave, mini fridge, but it very hot, not AC. Staff was nice.

A Clean, Secure Room in a War Zone
Ok this is a budget hotel so a few things are to be expected. The room was fine. Clean and secure. But the hallway and elevator, although secure, were dog’s breath. A bit of soap and water and a vacuum would go a long ways. No problem that it’s old. But old CAN be clean. And I supposed the hotel cannot do anything about the carousers our on the street. Made me feel I was going through a war zone. As a matter of fact, the moment I approached the hotel for the first time, someone tossed a bottle and it smashed right in front of me, broken glass spinning all around. It’s sad. Why the city of SF puts up with this nonsense is beyond me.

The property as a whole has cleanliness and safety issues, elevator looks very unsafe, shared shower is super filthy, shared bathroom is tiny, rooms smelled of must and smoke, even though a non smoking hotel. I will say the room was cheap so I didn’t expect much. I was surprised to have a working ceiling fan, fridge and microwave at least. You have to get buzzed in the front door, camera watching to see who attempts entry, kinda lets you know what this place deals with. The staff is not very friendly or informative and will lock you out of your room after the 11am checkout. I had a marathon to run all morning and advised that I would get back late but still got attitude and hassle when I came back after check our time. I had to use the elevator because I had many heavy bags to get in and out of room, elevator is very old, filthy, unkempt and looks very unsafe, exposed, taped wiring visible. Being in the tenderloin district, expect a lot of homeless and sketchy characters hanging out in front of entrance all day and night. I really doubt I’d ever consider this place again and would recommend you look elsewhere unless you can handle dirty, unsafe hotels.

In a very rough area. Many homeless people surround the entrance. The sheets on my bed were stained, I asked for new ones and they brought another stained comforter. It was gross.

Nearly everything about this place was okay. Shared washrooms. Check-in was a bit unwelcoming. The area surrounding the hotel and it's entrance is less than desirable. The door to leave can stick, and not open, need to be buzzed out. Room key (RFID) stopped working a few times.
