Cruise Ships in San Cristobal Province

"Line for check-in was long and slow. Only one employee while they knew it was a busy weekend in the city. Phone in the room didn’t work, so I tried ordering room service by a phone on the hallway. Waited for half an hour and got down to the lobby to find out the kitchen just got closed without dinner for my son. So I had to order Uber Eats by 11pm. Very irresponsible staff. The girl in the morning was very kind to take my claim and said she was going to pass it to the manager. The A/C was leaking water into the floor, the night stands were almos failing from the wall. It was not the same hotel I’ve stayed many times before."

"Beautiful historic hotel but with many flaws. Our room, a jr suite, was lovely but without hot water. Door key worked only with lots of coaxing. My wife needed the elevator but a door was between our room and this elevator. Impossible to get through it witout help from hotel personnel. All our issues were met only with the front desk saying "we will look into it". Not helpful! To us this is a lovely property rumming outvof money. Not much maintence going on. "

"Great internet. Staff very helpful and accomdating, loved the bartenders at the pool made the best drinks. Property is beautiful. Spa is also nice and only $200 for a couples massage but the Jacuzzi on the mens side didnt work so that wasnt the best. Loved the steam room, and sauna and they give you wine to drink. Very relaxing. Food from Luna was amazing everytime. I prefer the black bean over the red bean but it was good. I got to see the Santo Domingo Parade that happened right outside of the hotel. It was one of the most beautiful eevnts to see. Location of the hotel isnt the best as it will require you to walk. My friend lived there and helped me navigate but he also got harrassed by the police. This was scary, I do not recommend going to far from the hotel unless you can speak the language. Its right across from the ocean and the nearest beach is in boca chica 30 mins away so if you want the water you will have to travel but overall I would stay here again. I loved the hotel. "

"The hotel and the rooms smell of cheap car air freshner. Security and safety of clients is not important unless you're a politician looking for a good night with your mistress. Service at the front desk, as well as at the bar is terrible. Many other better options in santo domingo; will definitely not return "
