I must express my utmost disappointment and label this as the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered. Prior to my check-in, I received an email from the hotel, which stated the following: 'We wish you a safe and pleasant journey to H Hotel Salzburg. Take advantage of this opportunity to make your stay even more enjoyable. Using the link in this email, you can access an exclusive offer for booking additional services to tailor your stay to your requirements.’ In response to this email, I promptly booked breakfast and made a payment using my credit card. I even double-confirmed this arrangement upon my check-in.
However, during the check-out process, the staff member handling my transaction insisted that I had not paid for the breakfast and demanded payment at that moment.
This particular staff member at the H Hotel displayed impoliteness and impatience. Despite my repeated assertions that I had indeed made the payment, she disregarded my statements without conducting a thorough verification, while wearing an expression of displeasure. Regrettably, I was compelled to pay for the breakfast once again. The breakfast cost was EUR 48, and they charged me twice. This incident required numerous emails, conversations, and the repeated submission of payment proof to address the hotel's double charge. Although they have acknowledged the double charge now, I have not yet received a refund. The process has been protracted and frustrating.
