The room was quite basic - large enough for the 5 of us, with x2 double beds and a single bed comfortably fitting in the room. However it was lacking features that you may expect in hotels and especially for longer stays - eg) TV. The 1784 building is beautifully designed and restored. Attention to detail, love and grace abound. Breakfast is delicious with fresh breads and croissants, homemade jams, fresh fruit and wonderful French cheeses. The grounds are lovely, even in early spring. I am so happy to have stayed in this charming home in the South...

"Well, you get what you paid for, super cheap, so no amenities whatsover, freaky place, super small, but relatively clean, the staff was very good. I would not stay again but that's just b/c my personal preferance. For people on tight budget, it's a nice place."

"The Cacharel is like going back in time to a French ranch house. Staff is incredible- food is amazing. Gorgeous large pool (eat there!) rooms all have AC and are comfortable. Incredible location right by marshes with hundreds of flamingos and ample places to ride the iconic white horses. We had no idea how amazing this part of the world is. Would absolutely recommend if you want a wonderful once in a lifetime family adventure! We loved our stay (and added a night!) "

"A lovely hotel in a cosy nook. 14th century walls blend in with modern decor. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the restaurant served the best soup ever. Highly recommended, as long as you don't mind the absence of a lift. "

"The hotel / room / bedding and property were clean. The staff were cheerful, polite and helpful. There was a bit of noise due to a group of chaperoned teenagers staying on the same floor... Loud talking / laughing / running in the hallway, door slamming, etc. The pool was open, and i was told that the restaurant was closed for meals other than breakfast."

"It was perfect for an early morning flight the next day. Clean sheets, clean floors, nice warm shower. Could have used an extra pillow I suppose, but I wasn't complaining. A short walk to the grocery store was a bonus. Too bad the pool wasn't open yet!"
