"The owners are wonderful! The property is exactly like in the pictures. Our room was spacious, comfortable bed, nice breakfast and we could use the pool outside. Ideal location if you wish to visit the many castle of the Loira Valley. Lack of restaurants around but in a few minutes by car you are in Beaugency or Blois which offer a wide range of services."

"Interesting chambre d'hôtes-type accomodation. The owner trades old books on the Internet, so there are many thousands of books of all kinds, everywhere. There's a place to safely park your bicycle. Breakfast had many options to choose from. I enjoyed the conversation with the owner and his girlfriend during breakfast. Cleanliness of room and shared bathroom was not up to my standards, though."

The best part was our host, Dominique, and the incredible breakfast that was served every morning. If you walk away hungry, it is your own fault! We arrived late on a Sunday evening, too late to start thinking about a restaurant but the team at A La Lettre The cooked us a dinner to die for. Friendly, attentive, understanding. We are mono-lingual English speakers but all our queries were answered with patience and tact. Coco the cockatoo added to the mix with a series of calls that amused us. "Amazing domain, really good spa with best hamam I ever did. Rooms are nice, bathroom is a kind of wet room so we where afraid to splash water everywhere, but walls looked coated in water tight layer. Breakfast was tasty with all kind off local produce. Not the biggest selection, but more than enough for a good filling breakfast. Only remark would be that due to off season nobody was on the property. This made for a really relaxing stay on one hand, but we could find nobody to buy a bottle of...

"We wanted something special for our last night of our 2 week road trip and we found it. A lovely place off the main road on a farm. Very comfortable beds and because of the shutters we were able to shut out the early morning sun. So we got a very good night's rest. In the morning we were greeted by our host with a wonderful basket of croissant, bread and pain au chocolat which we were able to eat on the terrace at the back. Thanks you for making this a perfect end to our holiday."

"Séjour très agréable. Accueil, chambre spacieuse et literie confortable, à disposition machine à café et thé. Le ménage est fait régulièrement. Tout est parfait. Le clos des sureaux est très bien situé pour la visite des chateaux de la loire (10 à 15 kms de Blois, Ambroise, cheverny, chambord). Certaines chambres ont une ouverture directe sur le jardin verdoyant. Un jaccuzi et hamam sont également à disposition à l'extérieur. Nous avons vraiment apprécié. "
