Horrible business management. I planned to take an Uber from the property to the airport, which was supposed to cost around $7. Of course, my Uber app stopped working as soon as I was ready to go so, in a panic, I asked the front desk for the number to a taxi service. They avoided the request and just said that I can get an airport transfer for 20 euros, or $25 USD through them. I thought they had their own transfer service ready when needed, which would justify the higher charge but instead the manager and one of the guys who books beach activities called a regular taxi (same as I asked to do), which came 20 minutes later and they paid the guy $5!!! They kept the other $20 for themselves and all they did was call a street taxi. I would have been okay paying a premium given the last minute hustle but to pay the driver $5 when I paid them $25 is appalling and greedy. I also treated myself to a spa treatment here for 70 euros thinking it would be super luxurious considering that a full 2 hour turkish hammam treatment in downtown Hurghada goes for about 35 euros, but instead it was the epitome of basic - a total rip off. It was at their gym and didn’t give luxury at all. Everything here is upcharged and not worth it. So sad given that most of the hotel staff is super kind and helpful in the traditional Egyptian way. Management ruins it though. Stay at another hotel.

When leaving these reviews, sometimes you have to think about what you paid versus—what you actually received. Then at the same time, look at what their competitors like Serenity, KAI and others in Sahl Hasheesh are charging.
Therefore, for approximately £50 per night, with a buffet breakfast included and a free shuttle to the beach, AJIRA is good value for money resort.
AJIRA is a 10 minute walk from the seaside, but the actual patch of beach that you will want to use (sun-loungers, beach service etc) is a 25 minute walk, or waiting for their shuttle aka black limo service (tame your expectations about limos).
Ahmed, who was on the day-shift, really cares about getting every detail right for every guest. Then you have men like Taha (beach server), Farhan (breakfast server) & the senior pool server who are keen and committed.
On the negative side, the quality of the food at the restaurant is very poor. On our first night, we had our dinner in the restaurant and every bite was unpleasant. We never went back!
At breakfast time, there is a lot of variety, but we learnt to always go for cooked omelettes, plus any eggplant dish. Falafels, white cheese, rye bread, were generally good too.
Lots of things were faulty, like the room door/key card system, lukewarm fridge, safe and defunct telephone. However, the genuine will to fix these issues was evident from all the staff we encountered.
I would encourage you to tip your service well in EGP - NOT LOOSE EU COINS!
Amazing staff and hospitality. Everybody went above and beyond.
Great facilities.Lovely room with a terrace .bifold doors and a sea view.
Golf carts run you around the resort where several pools bars and restaurants serve delicous fare..

Room cleaning and foods were terrible. The mirrors and glass doors in the room were stained. The bed linens and pillowcases were stained and very old. There were hairs in the bed and in the bathroom. Some staff members are completely uninterested and indifferent when I ask them something. They were giving wrong and irrelevant answers. Also, even though we said we were a honeymoon couple, nothing was done and offered.

Le personnel est super et c’est ce qui permet d’oublier le reste… entre la chambre vétuste et très sale ( je n’attends pas d’une chambre qu’elle soit un bloc opératoire ) mais les rideaux et murs tachés et la moitié du mobilier cassé… la nourriture du buffet est passable
Celle du restaurant est horrible
L’eau payante je trouve ça moyen aussi
Et sinon on paye une nuit sur le site à un prix et on se retrouve à payer le double à l’hôtel sans explications

Albergo inserito nel contesto di un grande villaggio di ville di lusso, ancora da ultimare.
Stanza bella, spaziosa, pulitissima.
Personale gentile e cortese.
Bella la piscina, servizio in spiaggia eccellente, spiaggia raggiungibile con transfer, comunque a circa 1,5 km dall' albergo (che è vicinissimo al mare, ma davanti vi è una scogliera)

Discreto! Nonostante il personale è molto simpatico e cercano di fare del loro meglio, non tutti parlano inglese, quindi è difficile comunicare. Ho avuto un po‘ di problemi con Internet, poi hanno chiamato il tecnico ma comunque funzionava a singhiozzo. Cibo niente di che. La struttura ha bisogno di manutenzione. Fattore positivo, il personale è simpatico e amichevole

Sauberkeit: lässt zu Wünschen übrig, Reinigungspersonal schlecht geschult und Reinigungsgeräte Primitiv.
Reception Freundliche Angestzellte.
Frühstück/Abendessen:Warme Speisen waren immer Kalt.
Zimmer: Klimaanlage veraltet und LAUT.
Glastüren zur Dousche schleiffte am Boden, konnte kaum geöffnet werden.
Technische Anlage(Licht, Toilette, Wasserhahnen etc.) müsste erneuert werden.
Kommen erst wieder wenn das Ressort Saniert wurde.

I stayed there for 3 nights but actually my stay was disappointing. The first room had a strong bad smell (1102), and the second one I was moved to had a bed bug (1103). The air conditioner was very noisy in the last room (1105), and the cleanliness was poor with hair left from previous guests. The food quality and variety at both breakfast and dinner were below expectations. On my last day, loud bass-heavy music played at the beach from early morning, and staff didn’t take my request to lower it seriously. Overall, not a comfortable or relaxing experience however the service wasn't too bad to be honest

Chambre propre, le personnel gentil mais certains sont incompétents, pas de commerce à proximité donc très calme. L’eau a coupé pendant plus 24 heures sur les premières 48 h ce qui est inacceptable. Pareil pour l’électricité qui a été coupé à plusieurs reprises. Gros manque de réactivité de l’hôtel.

Positive:
- The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Hekmat, Abdulrahman, and Rashad for their professionalism and dedication — they really do their best to make your stay memorable.
- The private beach, although not directly at the hotel, is just a few minutes away by a free shuttle and absolutely worth it.
-The beach staff are attentive and professional — they welcome you right away, help you find a spot, and offer drinks or food quickly.
- I had a beautiful room with sea view, spacious and well-furnished.
- The hotel manager is actively present, visible in many areas and personally ensuring everything runs smoothly — I appreciate this kind of leadership.
- Overall, the price-performance ratio is very reasonable.
Negative:
- While the room itself was clean, some corridors and common areas could have been cleaner.
- On the first day, the food was not warm enough, but after we gave feedback, the team improved this, and the meals were kept warm from then on.
Overall, a good experience with a few areas for improvement. Would consider coming back!

We booked a deluxe room with a queen bed weeks in advance. Upon arrival, we were told there were no queen rooms available. Instead, we were given a room with two single beds. Staff said they would “make it one bed,” but the beds were just pushed together, leaving a gap between them, so my partner and I slept on separate beds.
The beds were worn out, the sheets had makeup stains, and the entire room was filthy. The floor was covered in dust, dirty shower, grimy toilet with two half-used rolls of toilet paper, and a clogged basin. Water from the shower flooded the entire bathroom. The water from the basin was brown, the reception said there waa nothing they could do
The wifi didn’t work, when we complained, we were told to just keep turning it on and off, it never worked. We asked to have our room cleaned, but were told the cleaners had already gone home.
Dinner was another disaster. The menu was uninspiring, so we tried pizza, but it was bizarrely crispy and tasted awful. When we went back to our room, the AC had turned into a heater. Two staff members stayed in our room until 1am trying to fix it, without success. Asked for another room, we were told there weren’t any available, not even a fan was offered. We had to sleep in suffocating heat, in the desert. The manager didn't care. Thanks to Expedia support staff who stayed in contact with us, helping us out because the manager didn't give a damn. We left after one night, out of 3 nights.
