"Hotel Savoy Bern is an awesome place, in a prime location next to the main train station in the old downtown. It is very clean, quiet and most importantly the air conditioning works. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful with anything you need. The only downside at this point I would say itâs breakfast should be included in the price, not $27 per person per day extra. We decided to not pay for the breakfast as there are plenty of other options nearby."

"We had a fantastic stay for four nights with our two kids! The hotel has a fantastic location- very close to the main square, shops, restaurants, and the river (but without being too chaotic or noisy). The staff was very nice and helpful. The communal drink area is very nice to be able to access all day. I also appreciated having laundry and ironing facilities. The only tiny downside was that the dryer didn't really work- things were still wet after 2+ hours. All in all, we had a great time and can't wait to come back!"

"Check-in was a shambles. The room Iâd booked was not available, therefore I was downgraded to a sub-quality room. I had booked for 6 nights, the hotel admitted liability stating theyâd stuffed up. Rooms do not have air conditioning, they have fans. If you want a portable air conditioner it costs 25 franks per day (this was waived due to their stuff up). I ended up in the crappy room 3 nights and the correct room 3 nights. Errors like this should not happen. Management was very nice."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Eden! It is a beautiful property, amazing views and the perfect couples retreat! We arrived a little early by train (we took the Golden Pass train from Montreux which was also a highlight) and so we enjoyed the spa and a private pool until our room was ready. The deluxe room was spacious with gorgeous views and very comfortable! The breakfasts were lovely and we really enjoyed evening cocktails on the patio if the restaurant. Speiz is a great little town as well. We were not traveling with our children although they would have loved the town too! We will absolutely return!"

"Very easy to reach with bus 101 or 107 from Bern with a supermarket just next door. Lovely room, helpful staff and excellent value for money. Donât really understand the negative reviews as we loved it!"
