"Staff was amazing and extremely friendly. They helped us out for our needs as we celebrated a couple nights in Hermanus. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was included with our stay and had a lot of options for us. Parking was included as we had our rental for this stop as part of the Garden Route. The hotel is about a 10 min walk from City Center and along the cliff Road Trail that goes around the bay. Again I can’t stress how great the staff was and for a boutique hotel, they...

Surrounded by vineyards, orchards, and the majestic Franschhoek mountains, the setting is like something out of a dream. It’s peaceful, private, and feels like your own little piece of paradise. The accommodation was flawless—elegant, spacious, and...

"We had bats living in our roof, apparently knowingly by the owner (they built a house for them on the near cabin and they migrated to ours). We had to go to bed and sleep with constraint scratching and sliding noises, that was terrible. When we brought it to the attention of the team, they didn’t even bother apologising. The dinning experience over dinner and breakfast was terrible - worst service I’ve seen for a while and average food (it’s quite expensive considering its surroundings). Stay...

Top Route 62 Hotel Reviews

ONOMO Hotel Cape Town - Inn on the Square

8/10 Good

"The breakfast was great and staff were very friendly and accommodating"

The Commodore Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The Commodore is a very nice hotel, very close (just a few minutes walk) from the attractions, shops and restaurants of the V&A Waterfront. It is well maintained, exceptionally clean, has great furnishings and tasteful modern decor. The restaurant and food are very good and the staff very polite, friendly, helpful and accommodating. It is not far from the City Centre and is an excellent base from which to explore Table Mountain and the rest of the scenic Cape Peninsula. It has a distinct upmarket ambiance. I have stayed here twice in the last 5 years. Highly recommended!"

The Onyx Apartment Hotel by NEWMARK

10/10 Excellent

"I and my family had a great experience at this hotel. Madalyne helped us with our airport transfer and answered all our questions even before we arrived. All of the front desk and restaurant staff were amazing. Our 2 room suite was awesome and the terrace on the 4th floor is a great place to relax in the evenings!"
