Um 1085, zur Zeit der Klostergründung durch Herzog Welf I wurde bereits eine romanische, dreischiffige Basilika mit Querschiff und Flachdach errichtet. Mitte des 15 Jhd wurde die Kirche durch den Baumeister Hansen erstmals umgebaut. Heute ist die Kirche eine dreischiffige Basilika, mit freistehenden Glockenturm und romanischen Grundriss. Die architektonischen Proportionen sind Gotisch. Im Innenraum verschmelzen die Stilrichtungen des Rokoko, der Gotik und der Romantik. "This was the perfect choice for a visit to Fussen. Centrally located within walking distance of the train station, the Monestary and local grocery store. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant is delicious and the breakfast buffet was well worth the 12,50. On top of that the room was well priced, spacious and with a very comfortable bed. Would stay again in a heartbeat."

"Front desk staff was welcoming and friendly. Our room was very cute and our balcony had a wonderful view of the mountains. The location was great and close to everything. The breakfast was delicious and in addition to the buffet options, they include table side service with made to order dishes as well. Definitely recommend. "

"The hotel is in a great location and has good amenities. The staff struggled to take our order from our room to the restaurant so we had to go downstairs ourselves and do it as they kept saying we don’t have this (when all we wanted was to order the crème brûlée dessert). The restaurant staff were very helpful when we went and ordered ourselves and kindly delivered it our room. The people working at the reception should have awareness of hotel facilities. The breakfast menu is good with lots of variety and the room itself was quite big and spacious."
