LOVE ROTORUA
This was a 3 night el cheapo stay. Nice manager (but difficult to find at times) Very spacious clean unit and Maori cleaning staff loved their job and their boss. No milk in fridge on arrival (they had run out but supplied next morning when I asked) I never expect bells and whistles in cheaper accommodation stays and this one was self contained and suited my needs well. The entrace sign could be made much bigger so easier to find. Was glad I had my GPS to assist.
This motel lacked general maintenance and care. The microwave didn't work, the toilet dripped all night as did the kitchen tap, the head board was loose and hit the heater behind at the slightest touch, the towels were like sandpaper and there was no way we could use them hence no shower as there was nobody on duty when I went to complain. Some of the plates were chipped, cups were stained, over all it needed a lot done to it to get it to a usable standard

Average motel that needs a good freshen up. Bathroom was run down with wall paper coming off the walls and stained floor.
Major lack of parking and parking available was very tight

This is a cheap place very food for short stay. It is located close to downtown, public transportation bus stop and has parking. The place itself looks old but was clean and good for few nights. Also has small kitchen included.

cleaniness
The outside of the property looks nice. The inside cleanliness needs to be improved. Tried to find a socket to charge the phone, found one in a hidden place with spider webs. After drawing the curtains, had to wash hands. And the light bulbs are full of dust. They only clean the top of tables.
je suis très déçue , c'est le plus cher et le moins bien des hôtels où j'ai séjourné en N Z

Needs some TLC
A mixed bag. Relatively cheap by NZ and Rotorua standards, within walkable distance of the town centre, but the room was somewhat run down, the fridge was not working and it was clear that the owners really don't care about maintaining the place. Not a bad place to stay but could (with a little work) be a whole lot better.
Hotel is old and worn and dirty. It was a very spacious room and close to attractions. We stayed 2 days to take in the thermal park, Maori village and mineral springs, so were not in the room much. cooking facilities in room were adequate & staff were helpful. You get what you pay for. Note: the photos are deceiving !!

A comfortable night's stay, but the hotel and facilities are old-fashioned.
it was an apartment.scruffy, damaged walls, old, hardly any crockery, utensils ,pans,we had to ask for a frying pan and washing up liquid. Had 6 beds, and 2 tea mugs,2 sets of cutlery....what's that about
TV was freeview which was fuzzy all the time.Sky was on analoge, and grainy (6 channels). A long walk to town.In the back yard was a dilapidated empty spa, full of scum and weeds.
The room was clean with plenty of space, the bathroom was not so clean but ok. Parking was quite tight we were glad to have a small car. Be careful of the mineral pools they are quite strong 20mins is the maximum.

Value for money. Not a lot of parking. Clean and comfortable.
My husband and I have stayed some 3/4 years ago, many times, staff were friendly BUT there has been a great change no one has learnt to smile any more. The rooms are very tired and need a lot of money spent on the entire motel. We weren't prepared for no breakfasts, as is advertised in motel books very poor. We won't be staying there again.
Accommodation is very tired and needs updating. Parking is an issue. Car was blocked in by another accommodation guest meaning I had to race to get to my appointment.
Brief last minute stay this was great accomodation: definitely will be staying again

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. They had a private mineral bath to use on property. The room was clean. A little outdated, but very cozy.
Facilities: Shabby, Run-down, Bare minimum; Value: Rip-off; Service: Awful; Cleanliness: Lacking;

value for money
Older style rooms but clean , tidy and spacious. Parking could be better not a lot of room with bigger cars but plenty of road parking around. Staff very helpful. Overall value for money and would stay again.
