"To start at the beginning, welcome was great. Staff very helpful overall. Pleasant and friendly.
Room warm and bed VERY comfortable. No noise during the night despite it being Halloween and the hotel being full. The only let down was the breakfast. Good variety but just lacked finesse. It’s self service. No fresh fruit such as bananas, apples or mandarin oranges.
Overall I had a wonderful experience and stay. I know this hotel of old and the current owners have made fantastic improvements. Well done. I would definitely have a return visit."
"Fairly basic accommodation, not fully up to date, but comfortable enough. Hotel restaurant is quite good and has a dedicated gluten-free menu (as well as a separate one geared towards children). Certainly not an international chain plopped down on the riverside, but has enough character to be a bit charming despite the cantankerous faucets and thin walls."
