"Basic room but although old it was relatively clean. Breakfast was disappointing as we were there just after it opened at 7am yet good had already run out. Great location and right across from the station. Good walk to shopping part and leaning tower."

"This is a charming old palace with lots of personality and the staff all were excellent. It was a welcome overnight refuge from Pisa after our plane was cancelled. Keep in mind it’s primarily a spa hotel with its own rhythms. And the food was delicious if a bit pricey. Also try the gelato shop across the street for the best gelato."

"Where as we enjoyed our time here we did have a bit of an issue with our room temperature. We asked for it to be lowered as it was 81 degrees. We found out, after a very uncomfortable night and requesting 2 more times, that the AC was not working. As an aside: we could not open a window as our room was on the 1st floor and only had doors to a common area. We were moved to a new room. Other than that- the staff was lovely the pools and Spa are great. Location is wonderful with close proximity to the beach and some wonderful restaurants serving delicious seafood."
