Amazing hosts

It's amazing that we stumbled upon John and Beth. They were fantastic host. Very helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed chatting with them. And breakfast was delicious. Thanks for having us there.

Great hosts and very comfortable B&B

Beth and John were extremely thoughtful and welcoming hosts. While paying for one room, we were immediately offered two as one was available. Breakfast was good and it was a wonderful tough having breakfast with the hosts. Absolutely not necessary, but very much welcomed. The configuration of the home was good providing privacy during the visit. Overall, a really good choice after landing in Christchurch. Certainly I would recommend and will be back.

Great host's Fantastic Breakfast, Local knowledge for history and entertainment plus the best info on restaurants every thing was Very helpful, This is a superb example of why it is best to go to a family run B/B it has that Home from Home feel, you can truly relax and enjoy,

Delightful Stay

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Garden View Bed & Breakfast. The best sleep I have had in a long time. Beth and John are so welcoming. What a delicious choice for breakfast! with Beth's homemade jams on gluten free toast and John's perfect plentiful home brewed coffee.

Had Netflix and nice lazy boy chairs. Spacious space. Construction of another facility in front of motel made it feel you were driving into a back alley. Good solid bed.

We were delighted with our stay. Our hosts were wonderful friendlypeopke, my husband so appreciated being able to play the piano, breakfast was delicious, the bed was very comfortable and the location quiet.

Read so many favorable reviews before my arrival in New Zealand, I was actually looking forward to staying there. I can't say enough about the excellent accommodations, the food and the wonderful people that ran the B&B. They went out of there way to make my stay in New Zealand a wonderful experience. I am definitely returning to NZ next year and wouldn't stay anywhere else if I was in the Christchurch/Rolleston area.

Come Home to Beth and John

Staying at the Garden View B&B in Rolleston felt like coming home to doting Grandparents who hadn't seen their grandson in too long. I was welcomed into their warm home, with warm tea and a hot meal. Their home was lovingly decorated and made available to me, even at short notice. Even their cat was friendly and welcoming. In the morning we shared a continental breakfast before John drove me to the Buss-stop. I recommend them wholeheartedly!

A great stay.

I would definitely recommend staying here, escape the congestion of central Christchurch but remain within easy commute. All the facilities of a hotel with the additional benefits of personal attention from great owners.

Wonderful Stay

What a joy to stay at this place. The hosts were perfect and helped with some of our planning of our trip. It made our visit to New Zealand extra special. Would definitely stay there again. A lot of attention to detail in the accommodations made everything wonderful!!!

Very nice couple running this B&B, very helpful with directions. A good place to stay if just passing through Queenstown and you want to get a head start in the morning.

Outstanding B&B and experience

I would rate this B&B even higher than I 5 if I could. John and Beth were wonderful hosts. They emailed us several days before we arrived to make sure that they would be home to meet us. They greeted us with hot tea when arrived and made us welcome right off the bat. The room was immaculate – sparkling clean, nice bed, TV, full bath with shower and soaking tub and attached enclosed patio. The yard and rest of the property was beautiful. It was the nicest place that we stayed during our 30-day trip. We so enjoyed talking with them and getting to know them at breakfast we could have stayed for several more hours. We felt like we were being treated more as family rather than customers. You cannot go wrong with this place.

Great hospitality with personal touch

If you want to enjoy a great breakfast with a highly intelligent and well educated couple, this is the place. We learned more about New Zealand’s history, geography and politics than any book we’ve read. It was a lovely way to connect to the NZ culture. Great recommendations for places to visit too. We loved our stay.

Great Bed & Breakfast Experience

This was an absolutely wonderful experience. The owners, John and Beth, are great people that my wife and I were honored to meet. They have made us feel at home with their generosity, caring and kindness. My wife and I would go back there next time we are in Christchurch.
