The whole renovations should’ve been an indication of shutting the whole hotel down. Instead we were greeted with a spray paint check in sign on a wooden board directing us on the back parking lot “lobby.” We were passed our check in time (7pm ish) and we were told our rooms were still not ready. After waiting 30 mins in hallway, I tried to cancel the reservation with the hotel associate…he claimed since we booked through 3rd party, that he wasn’t able to cancel on his end. I explain to him that because we were passed the check in time I wouldn’t be able to get any refunds. He was adamant that he couldn’t do anything and I was told to cancel on my own. I asked to speak to a manager, and he was able to help me out by canceling our reservations on his end.

The property was under construction. It was terrible conditions around the hotel. Noisy, dirty in the surrounding area. Workers for the Reno were everywhere. We were not. Notified in advance.

First of all we never received anything about the hotel doing construction on the property there was pallets everywhere and trucks blocking into getting into parking in the front I had to go all the way around the building I should be refunded my money

I only stayed 2 nights but something that I didn't like was that they were undergoing repairs (we didn't know beforehand) and construction and they started working at 8am and because of the noises and vibrations you couldn't sleep anymore after this time.

When you need a comfortable place to stay this is a best bet for the Rockaway area since it's reasonable. You get what you pay for and the beds are very nice.

The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and courteous. The area around the hotel has multiple dining and shopping options within a short walkable distance. My room, while it could use an update, was clean and comfortable.

Unfortunately disappointing
Had to go get our own toilet paper because they left us a 1/4 roll. Tried to go get in the pool which was slimy and disgusting so couldn’t use it. We then proceeded to try to use the jacuzzi which was cold and didn’t work. Place needs to be updated and cleaned. Don’t waste your money. Manager did handle it very professionally though after speaking with him.

This was one of the worst check in processes I've ever experienced. The first thing the guy at the front desk says is "I don't have any rooms available". Mind you, it's 4pm there are multiple people waiting for their room at "check in" time. The guy was so rude, no remorse, and the excuse of they had a lot of weddings yesterday is unreal. Has that not been the case every weekend? We had to get ready for the wedding in the lobby bathrooms. Absolutely horrible.

We were up early waiting to swim, the pool was still locked after 8am and staff was kind to let us in. Towel rack was empty & wet/dirty towel bin was full. After going back to front desk we were brought clean towels. Then when we tried the hot tub it was room temperature. Several jets were broken. Staff made attempt to turn it in but after an hour it was barely warm. Later back in room we showered that night. Unfortunately my niece left her towel on floor and all our towels were still wet in am. No big deal right? We requested downstairs for more towels and we were drilled with a survey of questions of why we needed more towels, we’re there not enough. It felt like a burden and problem that we were asking for more towels. Had we seen cleaning people on our floor in am we would have given wet towels back & asked for dry ones. However, since it’s pushed to not get cleaning through your stay, we never saw the cleaning staff on the floor while we were there. Our floor seemed pretty quiet for guests which was ok for us. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, just a little more attention do details & upkeep is needed.
