"I prefer smaller hotels or B&Bs while in Ireland but this was only place available in Sligo. This is a big hotel with an interesting history, beautiful grounds, a couple of restaurants, a big kids play area. It has long corridors you can get lost in to get to your room but the family room was incredibly spacious. The hotel is not walking distance to anything so you need a car. No personalized service really, probably good for big groups traveling together. So it just depends on what you like!"

"My room was accidentally assigned with 2 twin beds instead of my king/twin setup I booked. The manager of the restaurant, Owyn, gave us free entrees at the restaurant (North) and a free dessert since we were on an anniversary trip. He turned a bad situation into a great memory!"
