Good service
Very polite and nice staf. Breakfast a little bit boring, too much sweat. Somehow bad condition ceilings in bath rooms. Air Condition too loud pn 2.nd floor but upper floor more comfortable👌.

Decent hotel in a good area. Could be improved.
The hotel is a little bit run down. Front desk staff was friendly. Breakfast was nice. Selection for dinner was a bit fast food-ish. The room - well, the beds are not much more than a piece of plywood with a sheet. Super hard and uncomfortable. My body was aching all week. Other than that, it is clean and the bathrooms are nice. Close to Copacabana Beach and we felt safe in the area.

Hidden gem, a distance from the beach
The hotel is set back a way from the beach so it's a good 15/20 minutes walk to Ipanema Beach and surrounding nightlife. The room was surprisingly large, as was the bathroom. My only criticism would be the bed sheets were woefully thin and worn with tiny holes. Staff friendly, helpful and engaging. Breafast was served in the large dining area and was standard fare of 'cake', bread, ham/cheese slices and fruit. Juice and coffee. Quiet area at night, immediately surroundings had shops close by. We'd stay again as was also good value for money.

Fantastic location, easy to walk to Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, restaurants, shopping and the train station. Personel is friendly, helpful and caring, always willing to provide directions and recommendations on what to do and how to get to special place. We will definetely consider this place on our next trip to Rio.

Location excellent, breakfast excellent - only thing that gave it a bad taste was the rather large older man working at reception - not friendly or professional or customer service at all - he should be moved to back office or kitchen

Great rooftop pool and view of Rio
Great hotel in a great area. Rooms could use upgrading starting with the cleanser they use. The best thing about this hotel is the rooftop pool and view of Rio. Two blocks from Copacabana and 10min walk to Ipanema.

Very poor standard hotel
Possibly the worst hotel I have stayed in. After witnessing abusive reception staff towards an English couple who complained I also faced abuse dats later when seeking help because room telephone did not work. Hotel pictures do not reflect a very dated hotel should be 2 star and a very poor breakfast avoid this hotel in Rio I have had better experiences elsewhere

Great place for a Rio vacation
This hotel was at a great location (right between Ipanema and Copacabana beaches). The breakfast was fantastic, and the front desk folk were very helpful. They even let us stay an extra 2 hours after check out, since our departure flight was in late afternoon. I would definitely stay there again.

Dated hotel rooms but in central location. No hot water after 10.00pm, I was told by the front desk that it will be back after 2.00am. Very disappointing. The breakfast spread was good though.

Money Missing From My Room
We had $100 USD taken from our luggage ($300R). When I told the front desk clerk his response was "Why didn't you use the safe?" They advised they would look at the cameras and found ONLY the chambermaid entered the room. They advised they would make a decision and get back to us. I asked TWO different times AFTER they advised me they would make a decision (pay me the money back). However, BOTH times the clerks didn't seem to have an idea what was going on. Even though there was a note taped to the front desk counter top. I've traveled ALL over the world for the past 30 years and NEVER had money taken from my room.

Great hotel with fine amenities and comfortable surroundings in great neighbourhood. An oasis of calm and efficiency in the heart of Rio. Very helpful staff. Also a first class new year's party. We returned to the hotel to attend this.

More than great for price :)
For the price, this was a steal. Minutes walk to everything. The hotel is nice and clean. And they offer free breakfast, which I never woke up for. The Wi-Fi sucks, but Wi-Fi sucked everywhere in Rio, so I won't hold that against them. And the staff was very helpful. I left my phone in the taxi upon arrival in Rio, this could have ruin my mood for a few hours lol, and the staff was very helpful in tracking down the taxi. He actually returned it to the hotel. I'd definitely stay there again :)

Great Location
Overall this hotel was pretty good for the price. It was about a 5 minute walk to Copacabana beach and 15 min walk to Ipanema beach. The room was clean, the a/c worked great, and bathroom had ample space. I enjoyed the breakfast every morning with the fresh fruit which was also a plus. There are several places to eat around the hotel and a couple grocery stores in walking distance you can pick up cheap water and snacks. The only issue we had was that the wifi signal in our room was hit or miss so a lot of the time we found ourselves in the lobby surfing the internet where the signal is great.

Great hotel and even better staff. The concierge Spoke English and even helped me with my Portuguese. I'm looking forward to going back to rio and staying there again.
