"We loved staying here! It’s secluded, intimate, and just picture-perfect. Abner was a great host and responded to small hiccups we experienced throughout the stay. Cabana at the La Milpa Ecolodge and Research Station seen in the early morning fog. The lodge is in the Rio Bravo Conservation area in the Belizean rainforest near the Guatemalan and Mexican borders and attracts birders and those interested in the local wildlife and Mayan ruins. The tree on the right is a kapok or ceiba tree, which Mayans believed represented the hierarchical structure of the universe.

"There was a lack of communication on my behalf, and I wasn’t able to stay the first night. After resolving the issue, they were very accommodating and friendly. The place is very beautiful, classy and safe. The restaurant was exceptionally good. When I go back to Belize, I will definitely be staying there. Fantastic experience. I would highly recommend this place. "
