this hotel needs a visit from the health department. its absolutely disgusting. mold, filth, extremely unsanitary. we walked into the room, took some pictures, and left. between the astounding amount of old cobwebs on the ceiling, to the mystery stains on the mattress cover, to so much more, we couldnt imagine even trying to sleep there. we'd have rather slept in the car at another location. save yourself from what we saw, and dont get a room here. if i could give this less than one star all around i would.

This motel is absolutely disgusting. If it werent for checking jn late for an early flight and being across from the airport, i would have walked out. I know, you get what you pay for, all i wanted was a clean bed and hot shower, but this place had neither. The bedding had burn holes, paint peeling off the wall, mildly warm water. Take my advice, spend a little extra $$ for cleanliness.

Shockingly bad. I’m not that fussy on a quick overnight stay I’m happy for a dated room but clean sheets. This place literally needs a bulldozer and start again. If I wasn’t so tired and it wasn’t 1am bc of flight delays I would have been out of there

It was the dirtiest hotel i have ever stayed in. It looked like they hadnt vacuumed in a month. The pillow case's looked dirty. The room smelled aweful. I would never stay there again.

Long hike to any ground floor room facing away from the street. Imagine my frustration after finally getting into the room to find the fire alarm beeping every 90 seconds (low batter) Another hike to frtont desk, back to room to collect my things, another hike to another room....with no water to the sink. BTW, thee is no breakfast bar and no coffee in the lobby. And this place$10/night more expensive than a Motel 6 up the street!

Horrible- Black mold!

The hotel was NOTHING like what was advertised. Rooms were filthy with black mold and there was domestic violence the staff didn’t do anything about. The photos haven’t been updated in decades it looks like. Do NOT stay here it is unsanitary and unsafe. I also have contacted Hotels.com about a refund and was told I’d get a call back and never have.

Bates Motel

Seriously ,Do Not stay here. I had no choice because it seemed like the entire city of Richmond was booked. I figured it was one night and my flight was super early. Black mold is still there. Cigarette burns in the comforter is still there. The drywall in the bathroom was rotted af the bottom, clear signs of a leak. Refrigerator was not clean, microwave was not clean. I took apart the bed to check for bedbugs. None was found. Thats probably the only thing i can say was good. But seriously, do not stay here.

DISGUSTING AND NOT WHAT WE SIGNED UP FOR

The room was absolutely disgusting with stains and rust everywhere. I did not feel safe drinking the water from the, tap let alone taking a shower. There were also flies in our room and I found a baby roach when we checked in. I did not feel comfortable sleeping under the disgusting, cigarette burnt covers either. The entire building looked like it was falling apart and had not been cared for in years. We stayed one night and checked out the next morning. This is NOT what the pictures or information on their website describe. Felt like the motel straight out of breaking bad. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The dirtiest place i have ever laid my head. Sheets wete dirty, pillows stained, pillow cases stained, cigarette burns in comforter and sheets, floor dirty, shower curtain full of mold, dirty soap in shower with hair on it, walls, ceiling stained with looks like blood, but I certainly hope not. Shady people sitting outside all hours of the day. Absolutely disgusting and needless to stay i did not sleep real well. Asked Expedia to refund my purchase after checking in and they conveniently responded the evening I was supposed to check out. Highly recommend finding somewhere else to lay your head at night.

Needs a lot of repair, mattress good

The hotel looked so beaten down we thought the hotel was closed and abandoned. It appears they suffered from the rain storm since ceiling tiles were on the lobby floor. Two lamps in the room did not function and the floor was sticky; plus the furniture was broken down. Actually, the mattress was fine and the sheets clean. It seemed a place where people a bit more on the down and out had to stay. We would have left except there was a big concert and all the other hotels were filled and it was late. We didn't even shower in the AM--just left quickly.
