Beautiful place, gracious hosts. We felt welcomed, along with our children of varying ages.
The playful yet unobtrusive resident dogs were a highlight of our stay. I would recommend this place to all.
Lovely place and the hosts were amazing.Thank you!

Dissapointed
Description says that the lodge is located 14km from Sabie, however no mention is made that if you don't have a 4x4 you have to drive an 80km detour, and even then the road is terrible. My car sustained damage. We couldn't drive around and explore much - as planned. Amenities lists wifi, however this is capped and not in reach of the log cabin, therefore if you want to watch tv you have to use the communal tv. Gas oven is terrible - took 3 hours to cook what would normally take 1.

A charming experience "away from it all"
A warm welcome from Debbie the hostess and her two Great Danes, "Mug and Bean" was a comfort after the challenge of negotiating the gravel road to the lodge. However this should not concern you if you don't mind a little mud on your vehicle. The double bed in the cottage was one of the most comfortable I have slept in ..... with real feather pillows and duvet. A charming experience "away from it all" with ample hot water for the spa bath and electric blankets on the bed.
This hotel was wonderful and the owner Debbie was very kind. After a hard day of long road we arrived late in the hotel and we did not know the restaurant was closed. But Debbie made for us a wonderful homemade diner. This meal was so great. Welcome was warm and the room beautifull. Good address.
Beautiful place on earth. Perfectly quiet and comfortable lodging. However, my search was for a place to stay in Pilgrims Rest. The search result showed the lodge to be 12 km from Pilgrims Rest...which may be true if you are a crow flying. The nearest town was Sabie, and that was 25 km away. Pilgrims Rest was 40 km away.
Nice and clean but a bit cold in nighttime but that was solved with extra heater (Thanks Bob) A very friendly brown labrador is included in the price :-) 1 hour drive to closest Kreugergate.

Short but awesome visit - definitely heading back soon!
Bob and Debbie make this place oh so special - a bit off the beaten track so make sure that you follow the directions on the web but well well worth the trip for a serene stay with great hospitality.
