As for the insect, shield bugs are indigenous to this area and unfortunately quite common in September. We do out best to keep them out of our cabins and we regret that one managed to get in to yours. Hello Jackson,I am very sorry for your early morning experience here. We do have some work underway here to improve our offerings for guests. The 630 start was not planned or approved and we have taken it up with the contractors. The building season is pretty short in Revelstoke so we have to get work done fairly quickly before the snow flies. We have reduced our rates to reflect the work being done this month but you are absolutely right. We should have informed you of the work happening near your cabin. Please accept my sincere apology and reach out to us directly if you are ever passing through again. I would like to offer you a reduced rate on your next visit.
