Right on the beach and boardwalk. Oceanfront room has 180 degrees of ocean view. Clean room and hallway. Friendly and helpful staff. Fluffy towels but small dated bathroom.

Understandably there was construction but it didn’t affect our stay. Mattresses are awful, pillows are worse. But, the view was wonderful (which is why we go) and the room was affordable. We’ve stayed here several times and will gladly return.

We loved the location which has boardwalk and beach access. It is close to shopping and many restaurants. The hotel is old, but the room was acceptable because the location is so good. We had good service during our stay. We would stay here again.

They were doing construction on the hotel. I did not know about that or I wouldn’t have stayed there but they were redoing all the carpets in there. They were redoing the rooms it seems and they were doing the outside so it’s the renovating which means the hotels is gonna be nice, now you know I didn’t like being there during that time so that’s OK

Although it’s an older hotel, it was kept up very well and everything worked well. I just wish a café or something was open this time of year in the building.

The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Great view of ocean and boardwalk. The food at the restaurant is delicious. This was our second stay and it was better than the first! Kudos!!

Housekeeping was excellent, staff very pleasant...only issue was the room, very small but had a great view...also the beds were not queen size and they were very uncomfortable.
Location is exceptional and within walking distance of most shops and restaurants.

the carpet is so filty that you can see the built-up food/dirt on the room carpet the carpet so torn up in places you could see the padding and at times caused the patio door to stick

We like ocean front and convenient location of the Sands. Staff always friendly and professional. We usually can get in our room early when we go this time of year. We really appreciate that. Makes it seem like our stay is longer!

This is the second time I have stayed here. Great location, so close to shops/restaurants. Boardwalk is right out your door!

Having an oceanfront room here is worth the price. The Sands is close to everything. The rooms are dated but clean. The wifi is not very good. I wouldnt stay here if I needed good wifi for work but it was fine for our needs. The staff is friendly.

Love the property location, it’s exactly what you want when you go to the beach. Love the restaurant downstairs and even though it’s a little dated, it’s great and perfect for families. Will def be back!

What an enjoyable stay! Oceanfront room with balcony for a great price. Parking included can be hard to find too. Staff was very kind and helpful. Will definitely be coming back!

The room was clean but the bathroom felt like an old motel. The bathroom needs renovation,
as do the hallways. The only elevator was tiny and not located near the lobby.

The only thing we didn’t like was the beds were not comfortable to us ? There’s no box spring or movement to under the beds (I have a bad back) but my wife does not.

a suggestion for the shower is too put up a hand rail for people to get in and out of the shower for safety reasons. Everything else was perfect for our get away for few days... we will be returning either in Nov or again in Jan...

I like the location of this property. However, I used my points to get the room and I feel that because I didn’t pay directly they gave me the worst room. The bathroom sink is clogged and I mean disgusting. It was something growing on the wall by the toilet tank again disgusting. The room was just very old and had not been updated. My friend stayed in the same hotel on the fourth floor and the room was perfect. Just because I use my points does it mean that I should be given the worst room. I stayed in room 121 and had one hour to get in and get out to my event and by the time I got back the front desk staff was gone . I am grateful for the points that I’ve earned. I am glad I was able to use them but I don’t think I would stay here again and just because people use a third-party like EXPEDIA they should be given the same treatment.
