"If all you're doing in Yellowstone, like I normally do, is looking for animals in the Lamar Valley, then there really isn't a more economical place than the Alpine Motel in Cooke City. Is it the Ritz? Absolutely not but if all you're concerned about is a safe, comfortable place to spend the night then you can't beat its cost-value ratio."

"It’s a simple quiet place with a lovely nearby town that has a lot of great little shops. There’s some nice nearby restaurants and a little theatre. One thing to be aware of is that the walls are thin so you will hear nearby guests so be mindful of your own volume and if necessary bring ear plugs if you are particularly sensitive to noise. I personally slept pretty well and didn’t have any issues"

"It was only one night stay for us. It's a cute cabin. Beautiful view in the fron of the cabin, outdoor cookout site and seats at the small porch to llok the mountainview.. They have a full kitchen except microwave. There is no TV, and no wifi in room, so we actually spent a quality time without any social media distraction. Wifi is only available near the main office. The town...? there was no stores or restaurants open. We arrived the cabin after 5 pm, and end of September. We drove a couple miles to Cooke city for dining and filling gas for our car. This town is the closest place from the northeast entrance to yellowstone national park. "
