Dont stay here. The rooms are not clean. Avoid Motel 6 Red Deer — seriously. We had to switch rooms three times, and each one was worse than the last. Room 1: My puppy jumped on the bed with something in his mouth… it was a blood-covered Kleenex. Absolutely disgusting. Room 2: There was a white, creamy-looking substance on the floor between the bed and the window wall. Room 3: My puppy’s next “find”? A half-used bottle of lubricant. This isn’t just poor housekeeping — it’s a basic failure of cleanliness and hygiene. It genuinely makes you question whether these rooms are cleaned at all.

This location met my expectations, considering the low price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Expedia mentioned that there would be a free continental breakfast, but this location did not have that feature. During check-in someone else came in after me and the desk clerk interrupted helping me to help him. The person was carrying a case of beer and said he couldn’t remember what room his friend told him he was in. The person said a name but did not sound sure and the desk clerk just gave out the room number without asking for ID or calling the guest first. So scary to just have the guest’s room number given out without any confirmation!

Was sooo pleasantly surprised. Greeted by very friendly staff and quick check-in. We stayed on the 2nd floor. Very clean and simple rooms with a fridge and microwave. Beds were comfortable and the hotel was very quiet for such a busy sports weekend in Red Deer. It was in a perfect location for our 1 night stay for a sport competition. Would definitely stay here again.
