Kiva hotelli. Siivouksen sai kun pyysi. Huoneet Rinteessä ja lasten kanssa joutui varomaan kun ei kunnollisia kaiteita ollut joka paikassa. Ostos mahdollisuutta ei ollut mutta taxin sai kylille nopeasti. Ranta ihana.

Lite slitet men badrummet renoverat, liten strand men klart o fint vatten. Allmänt talade man dålig engelska, restaurangen serverade bra mat. Kunde inte hjälpa oss med transfer vilket de flesta andra hotel gör. Musik varje kväll men slutade i tid så man stördes inte av den när man skulle sova. Mest Bangkokbor stannade på hotellet.

All in all not as described on Hotels.com.

Not as pictured in the photos, place is run down and in desperate need of renovations and repairs. The room was less than comfortable, with a hard bed, old blanket and worn sheets, room was described as having black out blinds but in fact had tattered rags at the windows that didn’t keep out the light. Door was barely covered the opening letting in all insects and wildlife, was sharing the room with several geckos! Walls cracked, private bathroom was barely a shack. All in all not as described on Hotels.com. The staff at least were very pleasant and as helpful as they could be but it’s just an old place and the island was beautiful but there are better places to stay.

A very nice and calm stay

We had a nice stay at Sangthian Beach Resort. Very kindly staff, helpful and always in service. Clean rooms although they were a little bit old. Very calm area with nice beaches and sunbeds. A big American breakfast with extra evrything, the bar has a marvelous Mangoshake. Í will come back to this place again!

Great location, staff could be friendlier

A beautiful beach and my boys loved the ability to use rubber rings to play in the waves. Be aware that if you take the speedboat you will be dropped off on the beach and may need help with getting luggage off a choppy sea! We were there in monsoon season and the staff did not seem overly helpful apart from the ladies at the main desk. The food was fine and the smoothies are lovely. Our room was fine and we enjoyed the stay but my friend's room was very damp and the AC did not work. Booked a try dive for my son through the hotel but it did not go well as no English speaking divemasters and dubious set up - no small kit to fit him, no pre-dive brief etc. It was not safe for my son to do the dive which was disappointing for him. Probably best to find a PADI centre there yourself and book direct. The resort is away from the busy area so you will need transport to get to the restaurants and activities around the island - the hotel arranged this for us.

Mögligt bröd till frukost. När vi sen bad om nytt var detta också mögligt. Inte mycket till frukost överhuvudtaget. Personalen kunde inte mycket engelska men försökte ändå hjälpa till. Ingen städning under de fyra nätter vi var där. Mysigt läge vid en liten egen strand men vi valde att gå till stranden bredvid.

Its okay for leisure family trip, not for a fun tr

Theres nothing much to do in the resort, the room was ok, the bathroom was not, must improve. Sangthian beach resort is good for leisure family trip but does not promise any fun since its a separated area and theres nothing much to do but swimming and maybe wandering around.

Friendly staff who make us feel at home.

What impressed me is how friendly the hotel staff is! Our experience of stay in this hotel is that how convenient everything is. You can have a fantastic family holiday together without the need to go out of the hotel. The hotel staff made sure everything you need you can get within the hotel so you can just relax and enjoy your holiday. The food in the restaurant is delicious with a good mix of Thai and Western food. The beach is beautiful and clean, just perfect for a family with young kids. The evening show that the hotel gave to it's guests is amazing! We were sad to leave after 2 days staying in this hotel. But definitely we will go back there in the future. A big thank you to all staff at the Sangthian beach resort for making our holiday in Thailand such a wonderful experience.

only book here if you expect 1 star hotel

This hotel is not worthy of its star rating. The toilet was broken, the sink waste ran all over the floor, dirty towels and bedding from previous occupants were outside and not removed. The food was extremely limited and everywhere seemed dirty and uncared for and staff were not interested and the person in charge was unhelpful. The hotel has its own beach but guests have to pay for beds and umbrellas. We were so unhappy with this hotel we moved after one night and are in dispute to get a refund. We moved to another hotel of the same rating and cost which was far superior. The hotel would be okay if downgraded and you knew what to expect and rates were much less. We were disappointed that hotels.com appear not to have checked this hotel for some time.

Terrible waste of money on a "hotel"!

First off - we thought we paid for a stay at a fairly nice hotel. But on our way there we kind of realized that we had TOTALLY overpaid. We came by backroad and the surroundings were awful! At the front desk we had to prove that we in fact had booked and paid for a room. We had a hard time getting our key. We ate at the restaurant while waiting... The food was terrible. We had a salad and some sort of chicken stew (we orderd fried chicken and the salad tasted rotten.) Our room was awful! We had paid extra for a room with sea view. But we couldn't enjoy it because of the dirty covered up windows. The room had holes in the walls and the bathroom was a joke. The bed had large stains and was disgusting!! There were bugs and filth everywhere and the wooden latters up to our room were anything but safe. The ONLY thing remotely nice were the location at the beach. The beach was awesome! But Koh Samet is full of wonderful beaches so that's a given. We ended up taking a speed boat the hell away from there after a couple of hours at the beach. Terrible waste of money on a "hotel".
