The trail goes to the top of the mountain where the borders between Austria, Italy and Slovenia meet. It starts in the small slovenian village called Rateče. The picture shows the Vršič Pass on the opposite side of the valley.

The apartment is cozy and the hosts are very friendly and very helpful. There is not much happening in the town so I would not recommend to stay there without a car.
