"Nice and convient with warm pool and spa"

"An exceptional place—we decided to stay an additional day at Moinho do Maneio, canceling a night in the Douro Valley, because we loved the place and its surroundings so much. Anabela and her husband have created such a special retreat, truly a welcome respite after traveling through the busy cities of Madrid and Seville. The fireplace, the sauna, extra cozy cabin / bed, incredible breakfast with lots of homemade goodies, wine / beer to purchase, etc. all made the stay unique. This seemingly "undiscovered" area has something for everyone. It's close enough to small 13th to 16th Century medieval towns with tons of history to satisfy history fans. There's canoeing along the stream and it also looks like a cyclist and hikers paradise. It certainly exceeded its rating, in our minds. Additionally, Anabela and her husband were so helpful at pointing us to interesting sites to visit, even for when we left the area. Definitely hope to return one day and we will point others in their direction! (Must also say we enjoyed the company of their dogs and cats—such sweethearts). "

"Palace Hotel & Spa Termas de S. Tiago is well worth a visit, the hotel is spacious, clean, comfortable and well run. The breakfast is self service with everything laid on for you and is of a high quality. The spa facilities are good, the pool has powerful jets that massage well and the staff are welcoming. The gym is small but user friendly. Situated just outside the lovely town of Penamacor in this sleepy area of Portugal, you get a real treat of a retreat here. I will come again and highly recommend."

"A beautiful and small country hotel. Nothing corporate about this little gem. Lovely clean simple room, modern shower room, comfy bed, and suprise surprise, even a fridge and kettle. Lovely selection at breakfast. Easy and safe parking. Very pretty spot with olive trees and surrounded by hills. Thankyou a great spot"

"This is a very basic hotel. No elevator but lots of steps, so be prepared. It’s also laid out in a weird way so the entrance is actually through the basement rather than the front door. Definitely not a tourist hotel, but it was clean and adequate. The bedding was just barely enough, need to update it for sure. Breakfast was good. About 10 minute walk to the main square. Located in a residential neighborhood. "

"The therapy pool is WONDERFUL! Note room occupants are limited to 1 hour of pool usage per night booked, bring your own flip-flop/slippers and swimming cap, those are required, or you will have to buy them"

"The hotel was clean, had nice sized rooms and was reasonably priced. In an area where places closed early, the hotel bar and food were very welcome. Would definitely stay there again when I visit Belmonte"
