The cottage is immaculately clean and has everything you could wish for for a short and longer stay. The cottage is very spacious and also peaceful and quiet so you can enjoy a truly relaxing time away. Great location to explore the coastline or Kent in land. "Located just 1 mile from the cruise terminal it is the perfect place for a pre or post cruise stay. There has been some investment since we last stayed here when it was a Best Western, but the creaky, miniscule elevator remains next to reception. In fairness I'm not sure what they could do to improve it without major construction work. Sea view rooms really do have a good sea view. Note though that the rooms over the bar area, no matter what floor, are invaded by the very loud live music rising upwards. Check-in when a cruise is disembarking is slightly chaotic, lots of luggage to store, nowhere to store it but the staff do their level best. Very handy for the town centre, car rentals or a visit to the castle."

"A lovely hotel, staff extremely helpful. The room was a little tired and could do with a makeover. Outdated furnature and windows extremely dirty. Our room situated directly above the bar and was extremely noisy especially when entertainment was on. Staff were helpful and food was excellent, especially the breakfast. We would thoroughly recommend the food. Would stay at this hotel again, but would ask for a room higher than the first floor. floor one"

"This was my third stay here and again everything went well. I was allowed to check in early, greeted with a smile by the receptionist, accompanied to my room and provided with a nice plump pillow upon request. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and everything worked well. Lovely large tv. Strong shower and a bath also provided. Would definitely recommend for the price."
