"amazing place friendly staff, the bathtub is not jetted but a clawfoot tub ( i actually like that better) the decor is amazing and even if some decoration were broken needed fixing ...this is a wonderful place to stay. only issue at check in there was no one there waited over 30 minutes then called the contact number and the owner sent the cleaning lady to do the check in...same thing for checkout other than that the room by the pool is the best one and short walk to the beach probably the best...

"Resort is okay, but the first picture in the photo gallery for this resort creates a totally incorrect image. THERE IS NO BEACH! Not even during low tide. Also, the swimming pool is very sorry. Never saw anyone use it during our four-day stay. It just doesn’t look inviting. Considering these two disappointments, the room rates are much too high. "First of all staff were very nice at this Hotel However I wish I hadn’t booked for 10 days here It was too long , had a pool entry room on ground floor On first arrival found hair in bathroom which wasn’t mine Room could have been cleaned better Breakfast was okay however food wasn’t kept hot enough Beans sausages & Oriental food sometimes cold Chef at evening wasn’t particularly good in checking food before customer eats it! Very tiny ants in bathroom sink and a huge cockroach on my last but one day which must have come up drainage pipe Would not stay here again ."

Thai Views | Wat Khao Takiap: Though I have been living in the Asia for about 8 years and with a majority of Asian nations being predominantly Buddhist, I have never truly looked into the practice. Sure, I’m vaguely familiar with the meditation and enlightenment aspect of it but that has been the limits of my knowledge. Recently I have decided to take a deeper look at the practice and in turn a deeper look into myself.

At the core of Buddhism are The four Noble Truths, the first of which being that in life there is suffering. However the teachings guides you through the reasons for suffering and how to end suffering. One major cause to human suffering is our desire, craving such things as material goods and then leading to our attachment to them. With this identified one can choose to crave less and understand that the only thing permanent in life is impermanence. All that we have now will not last forever so why get attached to them when they will only cause us suffering when they are gone. I’m not talking on a superficial level that is only thought about in times of crisis but on a day to day basis.

Looking at this monk walking on the beach at the crack of dawn in only a robe and without shoes, I get it now. I don’t think I could be as disciplined as this but I got to start somewhere.
