"Nice location in the old town of Ragusa which is where you want to be - so could walk to all the highlights easily from here. The rooms are split out onto several floors so be prepared for lots of step. The room was nice but very dark so was happy there was access to a beautiful garden where you could sit and enjoy a drink. There was free parking and plenty of spaces at the top of the hill so dump the luggage at the entrance and then keep driving up."

"Hotel Eremo is a former monastery. You are greeted immediately by name by the friendly staff. The property is serene, dining is available outside in a courtyard, at the pool, in your room. There is an amazing breakfast buffet. There is a spa or cooking classes by the chef which need to be reserved in advance. It is necessary to have a car to visit the beach or surrounding towns. We also drove to the oldest winery in Sicily for a tour, tasting, and lunch."

We made reservations five months before we arrived and at that time we requested a room on a lower floor, knowing the topography of the town and that some rooms had many steps. My wife and I are not kids but when we arrived, after not being met at the train station as promised we had to carry our bags up about 75-100 steps to our room. "Great relaxing holiday we cooked ourselves prefer than eating in the same restaurant every day Didn't no about extra costs like water and electricity charge so that was a bit of a problem but that was the booking company's fault not the hotel We would go back there"
